I did read once that verdines early recordings he used an old 50,s precision with flats, ive a great early concert on DVD where he,s using a white late 60,s/early 70,s jazz (block markers) with what look like dimarzios in and it sounds great - lee

Post some pics up when you've done it mate.
Hi ben, will hopefully stick them on in the next day or so, my jazz is very off white, so i think the cream ones would be cool a bit like verdine whites, will see what the white one,s look like, just as nice, i am thinking of putting my front pickup cover back on as well, im always taling it on and off as the mood takes me - lee

yeah it was a bit on the loud side, oh and sorry i did indulge in a bit of slapping in E but idid do some slapping in G too!!! i couldnt help it when bernie turned on that treble switch, i did play some fingerstyle funk and some jazzy noodling blown away by the GB,s i did have a play on the enfields too very nice indeed, great pickup and i think a nod to the future, had a good long chat at that booth and was very impressed ( oh and played the bass that was reviewed in Bass guitar that was also used by Hugh macdonald on x factor). Was very nice to talk to john east who,s a lovely man, lots of nice people all round really, but yes REALLY LOUD!!!!!! -
Ive just added myself to the very long list of very happy people who have dealt with chris, he bought my mark bass stand and paid immediately, a pleasure to deal with, thanks chris - lee

I was there, Had an amazing time, and spent most of it on the GB stall being extremely blown away, bernie and the lads were really friendly and are HUGELY passionate about their basses quite right too, im in love with the rumour 5 and am saving my pennies from now i will have one, also had a lovely chat with our very own funkydario, on the Bacchus stand, lovley guy, we had a laugh when a young lady asked my mate to turn down and he was the quietest player in the room by far im also very enamoured by Yolanda charles who is an incredible groovemeister and a bit gorgeous too , ive probably walked past a dozen basschatters, we should have worn T shirts!!! was keeping an eye out for Ped but didnt see him, had a good chat with Pete (thunderthumbs) though. All in all a hugely enjoyable day, i had to leave early though so missed Nathan east, but i,ll bet he was amazing, hope you all had good one and im currently trying to raise funds to have a 5 string rumour made- cheers everyone - lee -

Hi everyone cleaning out, i have a behringer vintage phaser, which is basically a copy of the EHX small stone, has the olour conrol and a range knob to go from suble phasing to warbltastic, bought this ages ago when i was going through a massive Anthony jakson phase (no pun) but didnt sound owt like him at all really so stuck it in my stuff case, had it in my pedal board for bit but never used it, and never got around to buying the EHX version either, anyway AJ on a budget £15 incl postage - lee

Hi everyone Having one of those cleary out moments and finding stuff ive bought and never used, i found 2 markbass mark stands that i bought after a wacky idea i had of having my two accugroove cabs either side of me but angled up, unfortunately the theatre pitts just arent that big so ive only ever used one a couple of times, i might s still use one of these so im selling just the 1, its very solid and folds up flat to put in your gigbag, it has velcro on it which attaches to any carpeted cabs ( prob no good for aguilar owners) and it designed to angle up small cabs like 1x10, 1x12 etc, and works great, these cost me £28 + delivery and ive barely used them, the cheapest ive seen is £25 so how does £15 delivered sound, giz a PM if you fancy it - lee
Much as it hates to even memtion them *shudders*, it really, really irks me that in the latest round of promo shots for album/single/tour, they don't feature the bass player. I'm assuming it's still Hughie(?) who's been with them for the best part of twenty years.
Aye Hugh Macdonald was actually on bon jovis first album in the late 70,s and some say he was on ALL the records, but he,s never been in any band promo, he must just be an employee, a bit like darryl jones with the stones. Hugh was a session player (his stuff on Alice coopers trash was great) but yeah your right - lee

Hi Kev two weeks ago i might have had this from you, however ive just bought an IGIG G15 in tweed and it is abslutely fantastic, probably as tough as the mono but has lots of storage ( i can now sack off the holdall for leads, strings, pedals etc) and is just all round a very classy looking bag, ill try to get some pics up later, on my gig bag thread -

Hi Everyone Took delivery of my IGIG G15 in tweed yesterday, and i have to say my initial misgivings at the price proved to be unfounded, its a really attractive and well proportioned bag, and although its semi solid (very tough actually, with Plastic panelling inside) its really light and comfortable to wear, the gig pillow and saddle features offer extra protection inside the bag (and it fits my Ken smith perfectly).one of the best features is the amount of storage it has two very large pockets on the front and a large on on the top, the pockets are actually designed to fit a small amp ( like the markbass, EA etc) and has a cushioned seperator inside,(like the gigskinz mixer bags) it also features lots of diffrent storage solutions from pens and pencils to effects pedals, it also has a clip for cables. Tha actual bag itself is a very good looking bag, with its goldy tweed finish and brown suede trim( looks nicer than the MONO M80 IMO), i can honestly say it ticks all the boxes and i wouldnt mind a second one, will put some pics up ASAP so you can see for yourself as the pics online are limited, needless to say money well spent and im dead chuffed, anyone thinking on one of these wont be dissapointed. By the way im not Endorsed by IGIG in any way, (wish i was ) just thought id add my 2p to anyone thinking of getting one- cheers - lee
