Traded,

I know I know The allure of a ken smith was too much!!! this is an amazing bass, it was very difficult to let this go, but wasnt getting the use it deserved its sound was only suited to certain things IMO ( when i did use it, i got bloody noticed) would like this back eventually, gutted josh didnt like it but hey ho. the official colour designation is cherryburst dated 3/2/2003, big bump for a bass which i think has now gone so a bit moot, josh is a top guy to deal with and i think "rita" is becoming a basschat bike i love the ken smith though, very happy josh!!! im sure its new owner will be very pleased - all the best - lee

That is just stunning!!!! i love it!!! Ive yearned for a smith for a very long time, always loved the look and sound, shame you didnt get on with it, id really love it, but i dont think ive anything you,ll fancy, and certainly no cash!!! im sure this will go quickly, and you,ll find your sound mate, all the best Josh - lee
  10. Thanks for thecomments guys!! Yeah i love the sterling i use it more for rock and funk gigs, the fenders are getting a bit more play at the mo, i do a lot of amateur theatre and use whatever bass is more appropriate for the show, i,d love a double pickup sterling myself, the nordstrand in it is great its a lot beefier sounding than a normal sterling, and its killer for slap!!! my warwick is still a great all rounder though and most people love it when you sneak in a bit of low B so i tend to use it for pop gigs!! Its amazing how GAS grabs you, since i got the fretless ive all the sounds i need and cant really justify anymore basses, but i am having lustful thoughts toward a yamaha trb 6, and the amp is always work in progress!!!! keep posting those collections everybody!! - lee
  11. Cant believe this is still for sale, i was about to buy this bass, unfortunately essential tensions MIA fretless jazz came up , and my wife let me buy it so someone else should buy this as they are fantastic and this is a bargain ( eehh i love stating the bleeding obvious) big BUMP!!!! - lee
  12. Not much love for the groove!!! I have two they are reasonably lightweight and sound great ( although yes SPL,S are greatly overestimated) always struggled with loud rock gigs, have no plans to sell them, good job by the sound of things, i might get ten bob and a pickled egg!!!, would love to try the barefaced cabs and the new epifani ones!!! i do still miss m old EBS prline 4x10 though it was awesome, but heavy!!! thanks for the very interesting info - lee
  13.
Cheers Lee! Don't think I'll be moving my Sadowsky on anytime soon. I think it is "the one". I quite fancy a P again though so I may be tempted to sell my MTD at some point.
HA HA i dont blame you, i was frantically trying to rearrange my finances, and nearly thought about selling my beloved musicman too, when i saw that sadowsky for sale, its a cracker, i would have t shift my warwick though which has been difficult, i,d be curious to see your MTD as im a big nordstrand fan, and i bet its great. all the best mate - lee
  14.
Got a pic? Know if they'll fit a Fender Jazz?
Ill send you a pic if you like, but they wont fit your jazz, i got them for my precision and they have a shorter stem, they are musicman replacements!!! so no good for fenders, not unless you do a bit of modding!!! cheers - lee
  15. I love that jazz, it,s beautiful and i wannntttsss it!!!- that would top my collection off nicely, wouldnt get enough for my warwick though- all the best - lee

  21.
My thoughts exactly. Sadly it's not mine!
AAWWW shame!! a fiesta red 70,s jazz bass with a matching headstock, would be VERY!! interesting to me!!!! i thought for a bit it was a jaguar bass as they have matching headtock (in red) and the bound, with blocks, rosewood fingerboard ( bloody nice basses BTW) and are MIJ!!!! all the best- lee
  22.
That's why I got it Took it along to two rehearsals today (Big Band and Show rehearsal) and went down very well for both - so really pleased with it - got to adjust to the slightly shorter scale, the fewer strings and the frets (my usual bass is the OW 35" fretless 5) but other than that it's really enjoyable to play and sounds great through my new Barefaced Compact
Where are you doing this show mate, i played it a couple of years ago. used my warwick. but if i did it again id use my musicman, is it the osaltwhistle production? in which case ill say hello ( a mate of mines wife,s in it) could be way off the mark, but just to say a jazz is a great choice- all the best - lee
