I'm wondering if anyone, with far better knowledge than me, can offer any guidance on the electronics in an Ibanez Bass. I've read great things about the new PowerSpan pickups in some of the lower models, but not so much love for the power tap switch. Meanwhile the models above have a very handy 3-way mid frequency switch. Would the electronics out of an SR500E be compatible with the PowerSpan pickups in the lower models? Or is it just a silly idea? I know the lower models only have the one switch mounted on the body, but it's hardly difficult to drill a new hole for another switch. So I guess a follow up question to that would be, could it be possible to use the SR500E electronics, but also incorporate the power tap switch in the signal path? Also, does anyone know if you can replace an Accu-cast B300 bridge with a B500? Is it the same size? So just a simple case of removing the strings, unscrewing the B300, screwing in the B500, installing the strings and checking the setup? Or would it not be that simple?

Does anyone know if there are any size differences between the Ibanez Accu-cast B120, B300 and B500 bridges? I guess what I am really asking is, could I easily change one out for another? As an example: is it just a case of removing the strings, unscrewing a B300, screwing in a B500, insert the strings and double check the setup?

Maybe I'll take it in to a charity shop then.

They are superb. I've been using them under my M&K Home Cinema Subwoofers for about 4 years now.

I have a Hondo II bass which was bought for me back in the 80's (roughly 1987) and I am wondering if it is any good and if it's worth anything at all? I'll have to take some photos, but I wondered if anyone could tell me anything about it from the model? In all honesty it's not really in great condition, but a lot of people like relics!!

Basses with the Vari-Mid 3 band EQ have a "Mid Boost/Cut" control and a "Mid Frequency" control. Can someone possibly tell me what the Mid Frequency control is for please?
