1. Great composer...popular around here in Belgium too. Catchy tunes with great lyrics
2. Well played but the arrangement takes over the song...
3. The sound of the bass in the vids is very tempting....
4. There are plans to start a Level 42 tribute band around here in Belgium and this would be a great instrument for that repertoire (Still playing with the thought :-))
5. Selling this MK2 from 2005, serial number 4105..comes with the Wal hiscox case. In excellent condition, two octaves and with all the Wal-ingredients one is familiar with. Can be picked up (but I live in Belgium in the Brussels area) or can be shipped (shipment included to the UK) Possible trade might be a Wal MKI.. For more pictures or info you can always pm me and feel free to check my feedback here on basschat... Thanks for looking... Small vid of me playing the bass and a cat walking away from it... 6. It's a pity I haven't tried out one...looks great and intrigues me.
7. Maybe also important : how much influence did Geoff Emerick have since he worked on McCartney's sound a lot and experimented quite a bit..
8. The Aristocrats here in Belgium...awesome like always
9. Would make an excellent compagnon for the fretted version I have of this bass...:-)
10. Is the bass in the second video the bass you're selling ?
11. It's Gary Tibbs on bass....a friend of mine recently said about Manifesto : "How cool are the times when someone says :"Let's start our album with a bass-solo !"" Those were the days
12. You only have to show this when you want to tell someone what Wal is all about imo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OfRZ63gLgI
13. Great bass but the stability of the neck was a disaster....hard to understand they sold basses like that
14. Very nice, have a bump...I'm trying to resist and hope that someone else buys this :-)
15. ànd a trustworthy seller, buy with confidence...

MK1 and MK2
17. Bought a MTD 5 string from Nick and he's an absolute top guy to deal with.. No worries, very smooth and honest and the kind of person you feel at ease with within a second. Thanks a lot ! (and don't forget about that beer whenever you're in Belgium)
18. Loved it and it showed what is also possible on bass.... bass in popular music has become so boring that it's great to see that someone is still looking for new things although these are not wanted or popular. Most of these guys can also play "stand by me" if needed. Flaschenhaar is a favourite.
19. Yesterday we were taking a break during the rehearsal and the drummer put on some "old" instrumental stuff which I didn't know but liked a lot. Great bass lines (ànd singing too) by Richard Sinclair in very adventurous music. Little known here in Belgium but I expect that to be different in the UK (at least I hope so) Does this ring a bell around here ? 20. Wow, always thought it was McCartney and what a mindboggling bass-line
21. Old brown Shoe (The Beatles)...had to cover it once and I had a really hard time
22. In the air tonight..Phil Collins. Sounded new and fresh to me in many ways...those drumfills !
