It's not mega thick but iscomfortable. The thickness of the leather and padding allow the strap to spread the pressure over the shoulder rather than in one place. PM me if interested in the strap.

For a budget gig bag look at the TGI Extreme range, good bags for not a lot of money.

I use standard Fusion gig bags which are really good so would assume that the Urban is a fair step up. I have also been impressed with the TGI Extreme for the money but you would need to check sizing.

My retroglide resides nicely in a Gator bag which is 11" x 10" (Gator MULTIFX-1110).

The spec would intimate a decent current carrying capacity so it looks suitable so go ahead and try it. What is the diameter of the cable currently fitted to your speaker? You could do a before and after sound test but I doubt if you will hear any difference due to the time it would take to change the cable between each listen. What you will have is the knowledge that you have fitted decent cable which is probably better than that the manufacturer installed.
