1. hey peeps, what's peoples thoughts on this? I've always wanted a bass vi but alas they are way out of my budget. I'm quite tempted by it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Danelectro-Custom-6-...ents_Guitars_CV
2.
I thought audioslave were good! Most people seem to hate them. I must say i do think superunknown was a great album, don't know if anything they've released subsequently was quite as good though.
I'd reccomend getting into their earlier stuff! We used to call Audioslave Rage against the garden. Far more memorable. I quite liked that cochise song but thought the rest of the first album was a bit weak. never heard their other stuff, I just prefer soundgarden and rage as separate entities.

Gutted. Such a friendly man. We've exchanged a few pms over the last few months and he'd invited me to pop in if I was ever east of the taff. All my love and best wishes to his family and friends.
4.
I've got a (bass) cab that used to belong to a famous bassist???
Neil Sedaka?
5. I've never bought a bad bass but then again haven't bought many. I've mentioned this bass on a few occasions but when I started playing I had a BC rich white thing for about a year. It was a bit like Duffs from guns and roses. Played horribly added with not being able /willing to get it set up. I have to say it helped me get my hands up to strength though as I was gigging within a month of playing the thing. I've played a few basses that I've been very disapointed with. I passed on a ricky 4003 for 450 quid about 8 years ago as it played like a pig. Tried a Marcus Miller Jazz in town about a month or two ago. I thought it looked great. I couldn't get on with the pup and bridge cover so had a go without them and I really didn't find anything nice tonally about it.

7. This is probably my dream precision! one day...
8. I was about 18. I think our first few songs were originals. couldn't tell you the names of any of them. We only ever did two covers if at all, either via chicago by wilco or luka by suzanne vega but in the style of the lemonheads cover (still prefer their version)
9.
Hi yes it's basically an EHX Russian Green Muff clone with mods to select between different resistors and to add Gain and bypass the tone control that has a big mid hump.
fantastic! are they readily available?
10. looks great, is it some sort of fuzz type thing? and what are the switches for?
11. I shall tell my mate about the stuff here, he's a bit of an effects geek, owns two original space echoes
12. wowsa, looking forward to more pics
13. not a bad bassist, wrote some good songs but very dodgy shorts! You wouldn't see macca in such a pair!
14. are the black bits stuck on? I really like the pink bits
15. some great looking basses. re: the kramer. where are the other tuners? are they behind the headstock like old banjo tuners?
16.
There's not a stringed instrument on the planet more aesthetically pleasing than this-
It's all about the offset shape I think. My jazz bass is often in the living room and it looks great. I've got a jazzmaster also but its not on show in the living room as its got a nitro finish and I'm afraid if anyone even as much as looks at it, it'll get damaged! I can't stand seeing my acoustic 6 stringer in the living room but my double bass on the other hand makes the room look brilliant! Can't play the bugger very well though
17. I'd probably take my double bass. Being on a desert Island would probably give me an incentive to practice with it and get some sort of technique together!
But remember gear can be stolen inside the venue too, so never leave that un-attended either!
My old band managed to gain an extra guitar at a gig in London a few years back. We'd played and then loaded all the gear in the van. Our sound man stayed in it as he wanted to sleep. We went back in and cue the headliners frantically looking for fender strat in a soft case. Thankfully we had stayed to watch them as they were a nice bunch and we liked their music.Christ knows what would have happened if we had gone home with it! So its not just thieves but half cut musicians who really should know better about how many guitars they have!
19. This morning I've been listening to: Creedence Clear Water Revival- heard it through the grapevine LCD soundsystem- Drunk Girls 6AM Jullander Shere- Cornershop Tighten up- The Black Keys Cod Liver Oil and the Orange Juice- King Creosote. I could probably listen to these songs all day!
20. My amp got fried at a gig a few years back and had another one the next day. Luckily there was a Peavey TNT combo collecting dust at the venue. I have to say, it may have been the venue room but it sounded fantastic and was loud enough to keep up with the rest of the band (there were 6 of us). Ive never wanted big cabs since
21. Looks very nice. Whats the deal with the Fender logo though? I've never seen a Nash guitar without one and I'm assuming they don't put them on?
22. I like the look of flamed necks but not too fussed on flamed or quilted bodies so its a neither from me
23.
If you want to be really annoyed, how about their poll for the "greatest bass player": http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/rocknrollband/bassists/ Shortlist: John Entwistle Flea Peter Hook Alex James John Paul Jones Lemmy Mani Paul McCartney Paul Simonon Tina Weymouth
that list contains my top 5 bassists so no complaints from me! horses for courses yadda yadda
24. Check out the Legends strand which has a few gems. There was quite a few that I wasn't interested in but a few of them were corkers! One that stood out for me was on Louis Prima.
25. I do actually have a beard at the mo, not so much brian blessed but more mr twit!
