1. Autistic-pianist-learning-upright-bass here contributing : I also enjoy sound-to-colour synaesthesia , and I find the colours in 432 more saturated , although I don't expect anyone to believe that now . @ Leftybassman ; Ambient is not necessarily bound to equal temperament ; he plays solo 7-string fretless .
2. There is one with a few words from Leland Sklar at the beginning . If I recall correctly it is in a minor key but he takes his solo to the relative major and finishes his solo with a neat obvious change back that the band compliment him on making it easy to know when his turn was finishing . A classy demo of experience showing how simplest is best . ( It could have a different episode though .)
3. I would create lines on the unlined board by bleaching them thus ; Get a roll of pinstriping automotive tape of the width you want and put them where you want the lines to be . Once you are happy that they are in the right places , then mask up to them each side with wider masking tape . Remove the first stripes to leave the lines you want to bleach , then dab on wood bleach with a cotton bud as many times as it takes to get the result you want . Remove the masking . This method allows you to check that they are in the right places before committing to permanent change .

10. Back in '75 , after Led Zeppelin had finished recording the " Presence " album and were about to start a world tour , Robert Plant was injured in a car crash in Greece . The tour was cancelled and they all lived here in Jersey for three months for tax reasons . One night at Behan's nightclub ( since demolished , but I played there in the 70s ) the regular local pianist was joined on stage by Bonzo , then JPJ , then Jimmy P. and finally Robert Plant shuffled on on crutches and sang from a stool , all unannounced .

14. A quick search for " Cours de Jazz Manouche " ( lesson in Gypsy Jazz ) reveals this ; www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpFtzNynP8s ( -Does anyone know the tune in example 5 ? Is it " Sunny Skies " , or " Blue Skies " or something like that ? ) HTH
15. My brother knows a piper who hadn't played for many a year . On picking up the pipes again he discovered that he didn't have the puff any more to play so he went to see his doctor to get his breathing checked . It turned out that he was fine and the problem was a leak in the bag part of the pipes !
16. Reminds me of the " Blowin' In The Wind " and Sam Cooke story .... Sam's grandfather had been a slave whose " owners " called him boy , ( as in " Fetch this , fetch that , Boy ") so Sam was greatly moved by the line " How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man ? ". He figured that if a white Jew could write a song about racism then he could too , and came up with " A Change Gonna Come ".
17. Maybe a The Who's Magic Bus type rework of ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILaTgQBKRbE ( Soho's Hippychick )
18. Work on the fretless ( provided the guitar(s) are in tune , of course ).
19. It seems one can buy direct from the factory online ( click on Union Jack top left for English ) , and they make a range of 25 ABGs . http://apc-instrumen...h=103_68&page=1

22. Crumpled-up tinfoil .
23. If you bought one single string of the appropriate guage ( thinner than the high B ) then you could just remove the lower B , move the other five over and add the new highest as a high E , then tune like a regular guitar . Maybe . Maybe not .
24. Apparently when Jack Bruce was in Manfred Mann ( pre- Cream ) they were amazed that he could turn up to recording sessions unrehearsed . They concluded that the chord changes must have seemed obvious to him .
