1.
I think that's a better position for it on the headstock. Edit: I think there may be a market for knock-off Nash decals!!
The one you posted was the one I was looking for! It looks much smarter, something a little bit different.
 2.
Yep. There is an opportunity of doing something really creative re. a headstock logo here. Hopefully it would be something a little more rock n roll than the Nash logo, though Nash basses seem to be pretty popular.

I like the Nash logo - it's very understated and classy. Exactly the opposite of Fender's florid script. I imagine most people would prefer something a bit more in your face, though.
Ah, you fellas beat me to it! Must've spent too long looking for a picture to post!
 3. I think the Nash headstock logo is much nicer than any Fender one I seen bar the original spaghetti logo. I like that you have the option of leaving the headstock blank as well. Blank headstocks always look cooler than some naff badge.
 4.
Jeans, Next, Gucci. They are of no importance to ME.
Well at least that sentence makes more sense than the last one. The jeans thing was supposed to be an analogy though, I wasn't suggesting that you actually place a high importance on what brand your jeans are, but it's the same thing to me, one brand marquerading as another at a much more affordable price point.
I have bought many Fenders in the last 39 years. They do not currently provide a reasonably priced bass in the specifications I would like. Somebody else does. Yes I would like it with Fender on the top because it is a homage to one of their earlier instruments that I adore. Can't afford real or custom shop. I am not buying it to make a profit, I'm buying it for Me to gig. The aesthetics are for ME. Most luthier built instruments you will lose money on. That isn't an issue for me. I would have bought this instrument from Peterbuilt except they do not put Fender logos on. I really don't give a monkey's wang about anybody else's thought's about how shallow I am.
So let me ask you this: If someone came up to you at a gig and said "Hey buddy, nice Fender", would you say "thanks" and leave it at that, or would you tell them that it's not in fact a Fender but it's - in effect - a knock-off?
 5.
Jeans Next and Gucci are of little import
"Are of little import"?
 6. The best thing to do would be to buy the Wilkinsons from somewhere like Axesrus, line them up and if they don't fit, send them back. As I said in the other thread, my Fender tuners fit fine on the back of my Tele Bass headstock and in theory both the headstock and the tuner plates should be the same shape.
 7. Sorry, am I missing something? What I understand from this thread is a company who makes copies of a larger, better known company's basses is going to stop using the copyrighted logo of said larger, better known company. It seems like a lot of members are very disappointed by the fact that if they buy one of these non-Fender basses it'll no longer carry a Fender decal. Do they also get upset when their jeans from Next don't have a Gucci logo?
 8.
Hi Ashdown, Could I just ask you to clarify this point? You say you do not loan amps but a couple of years ago I remember a large UK store advertising a raft of discounted Ashdown stock as ex artist loan stock or words to that effect.
Maybe they did, and now they don't?
 9. Sorry mate, I don't drive so I couldn't meet you anywhere I'm afraid. I need to get rid of my ABM 210 first so if I do that and can organise transport I'll be in touch.
 10. Could you deliver to Glasgow by any chance?
 11. When I first got the neck it had been drilled for Hipshot HB-2s which are the same footprint but a couple of screw holes were slightly off, so I had them filled and re-drilled. With the original holes the base plates ran very close to the top of the headstock, but they were repositioned so they sit straighter and aren't too close to the edge.
 12. Sorry mods, I ballsed this up. Please delete.
 13. There you go mate, looks fine in my eyes but I prefer the look of large tuner baseplates.
 14.
Hmm, if anyone wants the black I'll go halves with them for the parchment? Jake
EDIT: Sorry, changed my mind
 15. I spotted that one on ebay and was very tempted by it. I passed on it though as it seems to have the squared off heel that most Tele Bass necks have and wasn't sure that it would fit in a standard rounded Fender neck pocket. To answer your questions, I just had the string tree moved on my own Tele Bass neck as it was slightly too close to the G. The tech at the shop said she strung up the D & G strings and tried to position it exactly in the middle, marked the position and drilled the hole. Brensabre79 kinda covered it all really. Late '60s-70s style tuners like the Wilkinsons should be fine, I have a set from a Geddy Lee Jazz on my P Bass and they do cover most of the back of the headstock but I like that look. I take a picture when I get home and post it for you to get a feel for what it'll look like.
 16. Ridiculous price! This won't last long, lovely bass you've got there.
 17. As the title says, chrome bridge cover for a P Bass bought from Allparts. Had it for about 2/3 weeks, absolutely mint, not a mark on it, I've just decided it's not for me. £10 posted, pics on request if anyone wants them.
 18.
The necks on these CV tele's do have a pretty thick and sticky gloss finish on them. I gave mine a good rub down with a scotchbrite pad and it plays beatifully now and less drag - although it may be a bit upsetting to do on such a lovely looking neck, I do recommend this mod for a playability point of view.
I found the finish on the neck to be fine, and when I tried it it was 26 degrees outside and my mitts were very sticky and clammy. Even so, I didn't find my hand sticking to the back of the neck as much as I thought I would, it plays like butter. I've recently found a new love for gloss necks though, my P Bass has the glossiest of necks and I really enjoy play it as well.
 19.
Derail? Pah! It's all good, it's also your NTD too Nice grain on that puppy.
Cheers mate, they're some machine!
 20. That was how I reacted when I tried it. Sorry to derail your thread, but here it is.
 21.
Ah the addictive qualities of a classic Tele, and at that price hard to resist; enjoy.
My one is second hand apparently, looks brand new to me, not a mark on it and it only cost me £199. Took all of five minutes playing to decide it was coming home with me.
