1. Wow. That is quite wonderful.
 2. iPod mic stand mount Expensive! But useful considering how many interesting audio apps are starting to appear on the iPhone/iPod Touch...

 4.
Is this some kind of viral fan club? Not impressed...
Errrr... This is what's commonly known as a 'web forum'. What happens is someone starts a topic & if people have a sensible response to do with the opening post then they might choose to post a reply about their knowledge/experience of Pete Cornish cables. They might like them, they might not. The OP thinks they're really good - so I would presume he thought others might want to check them out. As to whether you're 'impressed' or not? Thanks for your valuable input. It's been really helpful.
 5.
It's been "messed about with" (or "enhanced") to improve it as a working instrument. That's the sad dichotomy between instruments as investments and instruments for musical use.
If it sells it'll more & likely end up hanging on a wall in bar in LA...so never get played again anyway. A sad end for a great bass that's been played on some great records.
 6.
Looks like it's been refinned as well...?
That's had the 'full monty' - refin, new pickguard, bridge in addition to the Jazz p-up & electrics...
 7. Yep. This is genuine. But it's a shame it's been so messed about with...has been used on some great records though. Back in the day I owned a G&L for a short while that used to belong to Dave Pegg - was given to him personally by Leo Fender as a gift...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1962-FENDER-PRECISIO...=item45f2f9889b If this is genuine (& on the face of it there's no reason to doubt it is) it looks to be a good buy for the future. Nice authenticated history to it, although I would have thought for that amount of money you would want to try to put some clearer pics up because the main pic makes the finish look a bit too shiney shiney for such a used instrument.
8. Yes - I'm pretty sure that's the winning price. So the buyer did very well - that's a good price for a '60 Jazz.
Did it actually go for that?? Does a reserve still show up as 'not reached' even when the auction has ended? Si
9.
Pure jazz growl - particularly noticeable on the low E sections around 0:36. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TB_fi1fB3k
Yep - spot-on. That's nailed it for me. Though I think he uses a pair of Dark Stars in his Jazz here?
 10. Ash is a splendid fellow. Delivered a great bass cab tonight - which was EXACTLY as described. No problems, no fuss, just a great deal with a top class basschatter. Highly recommended!
 11. If Steve Rowse has serviced this you can be sure it's 100% spot-on. He is a total legend. Bump for fabulous amp!
 12. "it will go in the back of a medium sized hatch no problem, although heavy one person can lift it although I wouldn't advise it."
 13.
+VAT on bidding price, +VAT on 15% buyers fee
+ you have to drive to Stockport to collect them!
 14. Looks genuine to me - with an honest description. Though, would always want to see it all in the flesh before parting with the cash. An ideal candidate for a nice restoration & body re-fin. Is probably a really great player's bass - from an outstanding year for Fender basses. Yes £3K would be a fair price IMHO.
 15.
You get my txt about that thumbrest Jim?
Yes Si - got your text (flaky mobile reception at our house - so sometimes struggle to reply to txts on the iPhone). That's a result mate! Woot!
 16. Not out yet - but you can pre-order for delivery in June Fender Precision Basses: 1951-1954

 18. Nice bass! (that's not an OHSC - but still looks the part) PAGING: Sibob
 19. The legendary Andy Viccars - Milton Keynes.
 20. These little Audient dual channel pre-amps are useful for recording bass with DI/mic as they have sweepable Phase on one channel.
 21.
Where's the best place to get one of these? A bit fed up of playing on boomy surfaces.
Bassdirect - I paid more for a used one off eBay a couple of years ago. Mark's price is very good.
 22. Email reply sent Dave.
 23.
It is rather good, and while the screen is small for some chord charts, it's usability and ease of use make it an essential tool for the gigging musician. Perhaps there should be a sticky for really useful apps, this being one of them?
The Peterson iPhone app is awesome - iStroboSoft - turns your iPhone into a Peterson strobe tuner. I love it.
 24. PM me if you want his contact details.
Hi, Does anyone have Clive Browns (yorkshire) number? Ta!
25.
Tune-o-matic was the sellers actual ebay user name wasn't it? And oddly enough the Jazz bass that was constantly relisted by someone trying to expose him as a supposed fraud was CAR as well. Perhaps he only had a little left over.
Yeah - this is the other account of infamous Tune-o-matic.... where he sells the parts he doesn't 'allegedly' use in his 100% original super-expensive vintage guitar auctions. Check out the other stuff for sale - a choco bass case for $2,500.
