I've got a Wal Custom from 1987 that I bought new - it has a mis-match between the serial number on the plate & the one written in the control cavity. I asked Pete about this some years later when he was doing a re-fret for me & he shrugged and said "It happened sometimes...".
Dunlop Flatwound 45/105 strings - brand new & unused.
I bought them, opened them & then realised they weren't the right thing at all. DOH!

That's similar to how I run my Wallace head - I haven't got one of the cabs (stolen many years ago), so it goes into an Ampeg 4x10. Such a sweet tone. God bless old Ted!
