1. Here's my black 1960 Jazz...
 2. It might not be helping that you seem to have two similar basses for sale - one 3/4 and another full size... Might be interested if I knew which was for sale? Thanks!
 3. Brings back some memories - back in the day I had the complete set of all the Pearl FX pedals...sold them for peanuts or gave them away!
 4. Proper hard cases for all of them. The vintage ones never get left out on stands as I know from experience that sunlight/UV fades the finish (especially the red in sunburst) & ages the plastic parts - especially the pickguards. And for me - it makes it so much easier to store them when you have quite a few... We moved house last year & it would have been a total nightmare if I'd not had case for all my basses. But it would be nice to have them all out ready to play - maybe I'll invest in one of those touring guitar racks...
 5.
Myspace is awful, particularly now since they've "redesigned" it. For hosting music, I'd recommend Bandcamp - it's lossless and you can sell your music directly from the site.
+1 for Bandcamp.
 6.
I'd be interested to kow what result you get as I want to do the same but I'd prefer the replacement black plate to have the T'bird logo on it.
+1 I got a black one from the US for my T-Bird...and I really like it. BUT - would so much prefer to have one with the logo on... I contacted Gibson in the US to see if they would supply them - but no go. I'm sure someone could 'clean up' if they could supply one.

 8. Oooh... That's lovely Happy Jack. Can I ask where you got the hard case from - I've been trying to find one for my Senator Bass for ages without much success...
 9. That's great - many thanks for posting.
 10.
Isn't this seller somehow related to Tuneomatic? He's that guy in California (I think) who seems to have a constant supply of vintage Fenders that he sells for obscene prices.
Yep. They are the same infamous eBay 'character'.
 11.
Heard the news yesterday and actually felt quite devastated...My thoughts went to him a lot more than I thought yesterday night. My non-bass playing friends don't understand the incredible loss but for me it's really losing a bass hero and someone who had such a huge influence on my playing. No one ever played like Karn...such a unique and original voice...even those weird slides sounded natural when they came out of his hands. A small comfort to know that someone like him might be no longer amongst us but that for the rest of my life his legacy will pop up everytime I pick up the fretless and a small part of his style shows up in one of my lines (not half as good as he could but sometimes I'm already pleased with that)
+1000. Such sad news.
 12. 2011 BUMP! Interested in any and all offers / trades!!!
 13. Looks like Pete Turner of Elbow has stopped using Ashdown - Mesa (Carbine?) rig here: Build A Rocket Boys And first time I've seen him with (70's) P bass...
 14. Some great custom parts from the US - Greasy Groove
 15. Absolutely stunning. There really are just TOO many very desirable basses for sale on here at the moment...it's quite disturbing!
 16.
Yes I first spotted her on the later show too, as said before she does have the Karen Carpenter sound (maybe a bit of Dusty in there too?) as she sings in quite a low register for a woman. Also heard a bit of her on Wogan's R2 Sunday afternoon show yesterday. And a bit of a babe which does no harm... Slow's a good song but I prefer this one:
Great bass player on the Jools Holland clip - with a lovely vintage P Bass tone.
 17.
Isn't this the Dreaded Music Ground?????
Oh yes indeed - that's the 're-branded' infamous Music Ground.
 18.
Another pricedrop! Need to sell this bass, car needs fixing!
Can I ask where you're based? Thanks.
 19.
Guess I should post this here too, even though I still only have this one poop photo. It's my GT200 with it's new 6x10 friend. Having the white matching cab makes the head look 'complete' now I think, and I feel totally vindicated for my choice of bright white with the whole ensemble Oh yeah, the 6x10 owns pretty hard. I'll admit I've never been a fan of any 4x10 I've tried, so I was sceptical. It also definitely has taken me a few weeks to get used to how it sounds. It has so much low end, I'm struggling to roll enough off with the amp's tone controls to get it sounding how I like! Paired with my Precision, this amp just sounds how a rock bass really should IMHO Ace cabs - definitely worth a shout if you're in the market for a new one! Heavy, but ace.
That is one of the coolest looking bass rigs I've ever seen. I salute you!
