1. Brand and new still in the box Gotoh Res-o-lite GB350 insanely lightweight top quality bass tuners for 5-in-a-line Fenders. They are made from aircraft grade aluminium. Another project bites the dust so I need the funds for something else now. 50 quid posted.
2. Set of 4 brand new unused G&L USA Ultralite bass tuners, as found on (of course) all the USA G&L basses. They also fit Musicman basses as they are easily reversible to obtain the 3+1 configuration if you want to lighten the headstock end of your Stingray etc.. They fit standard MIM Fenders too. They come with all the ferrules and screws. 50 quid posted. Edit - pics added from the G&L website. Note the aluminium string posts. They feel top quality, lovely action.
3.
I'm a year into playing for a living. I'm in a bar band. I have a mortgage and bills and I'm making our with no help from anyone. Blue
Glad it's working out for you Blue. Nice to hear it still can be done full time without needing a day job to top things up. Respect to you.

6.
Warmoth necks tend to be pretty chunky unless you specify the tapered option and the build quality is outstanding I've had 2 and both have been flawless plus they have a huge selection to choose from
Thanks man - I've now taken a punt on an Allparts neck, should be here in a couple of weeks. Will report back once I've given it a whirl.
7. Gotoh Res-o-lites now £70 Hipshot vintage 5 string bridge now £50
8. I posted recent asking about chunky P bass necks, specifically unlined fretless P bass necks. Looks like I'm going to have to get what I want made for me. I've spoken to Jon Shuker who is going to get back to me and Sims Custom who sounded good but very expensive. Any other suggestions? I'd like to weigh up the options before I dive in wallet first! Btw, I'm needing a neck an inch deep front to back - the proverbial baseball bat. I'm having some serious thumb muscle cramps on my fretting hand although my strap height is sensible, both hands and arms in the correct 'at ease' positions (no silly curls or weird angles if that makes sense!) and my technique is mindful. I remember someone on here getting their fingerboard replaced with a fretless one by somebody in Exeter ( not Manson's) I think and they sang their praises no end but I can't find that thread again for the life of me! Any suggestions most appreciated, over to you!
9. Has anyone taken the pickguard off theirs yet? Any router channelling under there or is it clean so you could leave it guardless?
10. Brilliant. Thanks for that, never heard it before. Tasty playing and gorgeous tone!
11. Gotoh Res-o-lite GB350 insanely lightweight top quality 5-in-a-line 3/8" tuners. Brand new still in the box. Cost £120. Yours for £70 posted Hipshot vintage 5 string bridge. Brand new costing £75. Yours for £50 posted.
12.
I hear the Steve Harris sig has the chunkiest P neck. May be worth looking up sites like The Stratosphere that break Fenders up for parts!
Thanks Danny. It's a chunky fat unlined fretless neck I'm after though (see op) Funny you should mention the Harris sig neck though, as I've thought about giving Shuker it's dimensions for my order if it's doable.
13.
That's a great price knowing what sort of quality Jon is well known for. Nice one!! No problem, Dood sends his regards!
miles o' smiles backatcha!
14. Cheers dood Shuker sounds good but also sounds expensive! I'll check him out now. 👍 Edit - ooo, £280 for a finished neck it seems! That would be doable. I'll ring Jon for a chat about it. Ta v much
15. I've come to realise that I'm much more comfortable playing chunkier necks these days. Does anyone know who makes the chunkiest (front to back) replacement P necks at all? I'm after a fat unlined fretless. Cheers in advance.
16. I play about 20 mins every evening (wish it could be more) and out at weekends.
