1. I've used Norton for my firewall / antivirus for years but tonight it started blocking every page I tried to access on Basschat. Is this only me or are others having the same issue? What can I do about it? The text I get is: Suspicious Web Page Blocked You attempted to access: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=viewNewContent&search_app=forums For your protection, this web page has been blocked and submitted for review. It is recommended that you do NOT visit this page, however if you know that this web page is safe, you may choose to visit this web page anyway.
2. I have family in the New Jersey area of the US and according to them its alleged a certain Mr Springsteen will head out to the local jams or sit in with local bands!
3. I've currently got a brace of "heathen" amps....yes both Class D Demeter HBP-1-800D Tecamp Puma 900 Both are quite adept at sounding great and kicking ass when paired with either of my cabs Barefaced Big Twin T DR Bass 2460 Great amps, great cabs, great basses....It's just a shame that the weak link in the chain is me!
4.
.......assuming that the volume control is functional, along with the brain of the user......
I don't know if there is a "Quote Of The Year 2016" thread but this would be my nomination. I get the feeling I will be using this phrase in the not too distant future
5. Check out Powersoft amps. I used to use one and its relatively lightweight with plenty of power on tap. :-)
6. Check the keys they are in........then check again! I was depping a few weeks ago, 6 hours notice and the band provided the charts. Great I thought, until I found out the keys player used their transpose button a lot and some of the keys had been changed and the band detuned by a half step as well...argh! Once sorted it all went well :-)

8. I used to have a Fender Jazz FMT which was the best Fender build / finish I have seen. However my Mayones Jabba blows it away
9. Hi, My band is a four piece, based in Aberdeen, do functions and are possibly free for that night . Theres a link to the band website in my signature below. If you drop me a PM with details we'll see what we can do to help. Mike
10. I moved the rear strap button on my Thumb and it helped with reducing the neck dive.
11. Your OneDrive links don't seem to work for me :-(
12. I bought ours in 2012 from Band Banners (www.bandbanners.co.uk) for a 2m x 1m full colour fabric with eyelets for £174. They did a great job and it has been hard wearing and lasted us well. Depending on where you play some venues (especially theatres) require cloth drapes / banners to be fire retardant.

14. Thanks for the offer but not what I'm after. Also forum rules say that all offers are to be by PM only, Here's the link http://basschat.co.uk/topic/183234-rule-changes-to-marketplace-36-hour-bumping-rule-trade-valuations-and-trade-offers/

17. Here's my Alembic F-1X preamp for sale or trade. These superb bass pre-amps usually go for about $1600 new (£1000). This unit is in full working order and excellent condition. Some Alembic F-1X info from their website: The F-1X gives you a unity-gain impedance matching amplifier to feed guitar-level effects units. The effects return goes thru the tube gain stage and then to the tone controls. The signal from the tone controls is amplified and sent to the full-range output jack on the rear panel. This same signal is also fed to the crossover network. A transformer-isolated output feeds a 3-pin Cannon jack. Circuit detail Two input jacks provide the same functionality as found on the F-2B preamplifier. The input is buffered by a cathode follower tube circuit, which is a unity-gain impedance matching amplifier to feed the guitar level effects loop. This gives minimum loading on the output signal from the guitar while driving the effects loop gear with the same signal voltage level as the guitar but at a lower impedance, to isolate cable and other loading effects from the guitar pickups. A solid state circuit restores the signal level after the volume control and provides impedance matching to drive the full range output jack on the rear panel. Additionally, it drives the crossover network. A transformer-isolated balanced output to an XLR type connector provides auxiliary Recording or PA feed. A switch selects the source to be the effects return (Pre) or the full range output (Post). The AC Line (Mains) connection is an IEC (computer-type) detachable cord. The supply voltage can be changed by moving jumpers inside the unit to operate from 100, 120, 220, and 240 volts for operation anywhere in the world.
18. Radical proposal I know......but maybe (as well as the good advice above) get everyone else in the band to turn down a bit? It is a rehearsal after all
19. QSC PLX 3602 Power Amp - lightweight at 21lbs, but heavyweight with 3,600 watts at 4 ohms bridged! Normal 2 channel running gives 1100 watt at 4 ohm and 775 watt at 8 ohm. Still plenty of power to wake the neighbours! Very good condition with the light rack marks as its only been used to power my bands subs for a couple of years. RRP on this beast is £1,399 and I'm asking £580. Here's the QSC link: http://www.qsc.com/l...series/plx3602/
20. SOLD Aphex 204 Aural Exciter with Big Bottom. Great piece of kit for PA, recording, single instruments (eg: bass rig) etc. It enhances certain frequencies so that you can both improve and get a bigger sound from your current equipment. For PA & bass rig this allows a much fuller sound without over stressing your speakers. Here's a couple of links for info: http://www.soundoctor.com/aphex.htm http://www.aphex.com/products/exciter
