With my Barefaced Big Twin T I use various combinations[size=4] of [/size][size=4][font=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]Demeter HBP1-800D, Alembic F-1X into a Powersoft LD2004 or a Genz-Benz ShuttleMax 9.2. I prefer using the Demeter or Alembic / Powersoft over the Genz as they seem to give the clarity and sound I like. Clean, full range, hi-fi and punchy but not wooly or brittle. I'm not saying the Genz is sub-par in any way as its one heck of an amp, just slightly prefer the others.[/font][/size] [size=4][font=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]What sort of sound are you looking for from your set-up?[/font][/size]

I think it was on Talk Bass that a guy did such a test using a Jazz bass. He recorded the bass as standard and then swapped out the body for a random lump of wood he found. He was quite particular to place the bridge / pickups / action so that any changes were attributed to only the body wood. I think the result was that in this case there was very little discernable difference. Turn the tuning knob anti-clockwise. This should move the bolt back into the knob and the string holder should appear as if by magic at the pickup side. The ball end should then come out easily.

I sold my Fender Jazz FMT to Andrew who paid promptly, had lots of questions and good communication throughout. I'm happy to give him positive feedback. Hope you're enjoying the bass.

Depends what you want to do. I use a TC Electronics G-Major 2 with a Tech21 NYC Midi Moose floor pedal for changing patches.

Not particulary a Marleeaux as such. I was talking with Bass Gear about a Demeter pre/power amp (whi was delivered to me today ) and I saw the bass on their website and went oooh I like that! I asked them a few questions about it and by the time I had decided to get it, you had already bought it. Ah well.....
