  1. Cant quite see the electric bit but I would agree with the violence.......if I tried playing it, it would be a severe attack on the hearing system!
  2. I've booked my ticket for this year but not my travel arrangements yet as I'm waiting to see what artists are going to be there. I really enjoyed my last few visits but currently it seems a very similar line up to previous years. I wish the organisers would release the full artist list earlier rather than this trickle they tend to do as I think many (like myself) who live outside of London need to plan in advance for transport and hotels etc. The closer it gets to the event the less likely I am to attend due to the increase in costs for late booking I am sure that there's a good marketing reason they drip feed us with "artist announcements" but to me at this late stage it always "appears" as if even they don't know who's going to be there! I can't think of any other musical event that I would go to without knowing the lineup! If I lived closer and could just jump on a local train or bus I would be at the show every time but when coming down for the full show could cost me near on £500 I start looking around at what GAS I can feed with that cash instead Anyway......semi-rant over and I've got my fingers crossed that I can still make it.
  3. Just sold Dave a 12U rack case. Very easy deal with good comms and payment. Deal with confidence 👍
  4. This is the second deal I've done with Mark and as with the last one it went really easily. I sold him my Barefaced Big Twin T cab. Sad to see it go but its gone to a good home. Good comms, smooth deal, easy payment....what more could you want? Deal with utmost confidence
  5. Price now includes mainland UK shipping.
  6. I don't know how you play at the moment but with the above comments I would say make sure your left hand is anchored by the thumb being at the back of the neck and not hooked over the top of the fretboard. This opens the hand more and allows you to reach the strings etc easier. Have fun
  7. Here's my old 6'er that I traded a few years ago.... ....and my 5'er I traded it for
  8. Now gone :-)
  9. If you can PM me your address I can get a post quote :-) Just the blue one available.
  10. Some interest shown but I think Santa got in the way
  11. Last bump
  12. It's a 6/8 rhythm that's used in a lot of different styles but I've mainly heard it called a "blues shuffle". Other examples - Stevie Ray Vaughn - Pride And Joy, Quo - Whatever You Want,
  13. This is a : "Congratulations, you have just won the award for "The longest thread title in the history of Basschat that will probably never be beaten until the next time someone writes and incredibly long title that's longer than the last to try and check how many letters are the maximum number you can put in a title before it explodes" .....type bump GLWTS
  14. I have not read the original thread so can't comment on it. However I applaud your ability to acknowledge that you may have offended someone and are willing to apologise for it. This is especially relevant on the internet where it seems that so many people are happy to troll etc. Good on ya
  15. I've gone for a slightly more compact cab option and so have decided to put my Barefaced Big Twin T up for sale / trade. I bought it brand new in Dec 2011. It has been gigged 20 times a year since then so hasn't been subjected to heavy use. It is therefore in very good condition with only superficial scratches on the handles. The cab comes with a very well made Falcon padded cover. There is some damage to the bottom back edge of the cover where our guitarist decided to pull the cab along on its wheels trapping the cover underneath (4 days after receiving the cover)!!!! Dimensions 36" high x 21" wide x 16" deep 90cm x 53cm x 40cm Weight: 55 lbs (26kg) Broadband Sensitivity: 98dB Recommended Amp Power: 300-1500W RMS Maximum LF & Broadband Output: 127dB Nominal Impedance: 4 ohms I got an estimated cost of shipping at approx. £30 uninsured from Aberdeen to London. Here's a review that a Basschat member did of his Big Twin T - Big Twin T Review by Pantherairsoft No Treble link - Big Twin T
  16. Shipping to London (using the Gallery's postcode NW1 0TA for example) give shipping at £16 which is less than I thought it would be
  17. Here's my guitar shaped CD rack for sale as I don't use it anymore. Holds 48 CD / DVD
  18. For sale or trade 12U rack case with rails at front and rear. Dust in the photos comes free (if you want it )
  19. Here's my Great Gramma for sale or trade. Overall good condition with just some marks on the edges (see photos). The only reason I'm getting rid is that I went and bough the smaller version so don't need this one.
  20. Ah....confusion solved then. Thanks :-)
  21. I've looked through quite a lot of the previous pages but don't seem to see my problem anywhere else....... I am following several threads on the site and when anyone replies / adds to the threads I get a notification....all ok so far. However today when I went to my "Manage Followed Content" I noticed there were several threads that either the topic had been edited (eg SOLD) or the initial post had been edited with extra information...... but no notifications came through. If I remember with the original site I would get notifications for any changes to the threads. Is it possible on the new site as I've had a look as my notifications settings and it only mentions "new replies" nothing about edits? Also would I get notified if anyone used the "bump" button on their thread?
  22. Good looking bass with nice grain pattern on top. I nearly spat my coffee out when I read the certificate....you have an ash body and a black walnut WEENER!?!
  23. Yeah nice looking bass. More info would help sell it - weight, location, woods, electronics, string spacing etc.
