  2. As part of my ongoing equipment change out I have 1 pair of Bose MK II speakers complete with lids (all catches working). I have only used these as monitors (controlled by a DBX Driverack – not included) but they can be used as PA tops. With the curved front (120 degree dispersion) we found them great for monitoring as everyone could hear what was coming out, not just those stood directly in front. Nominal impedance: 8 ohms Power handling capacity 240W continuous pink noise, 55Hz – 16kHz Connectors: Two (2) parallel-wired retrofitted Speakon and two (2) parallel-wired male XLR connectors Dimensions 13" (H) x 201⁄2" (W) x 121⁄2" (D) (33 x 52 x 32 cm) Weight 34 lb (15.5 kg)
  3. Does this mean that your main issue is with your left hand only? Are you having to press heavily on the strings to fret cleanly? What is the measurement from the top of fret 1 to the bottom of each of your strings? What bass are you playing?
  4. I’m now asking £180 for the lot I’m currently changing out my lighting equipment and have 2 sets of Botex T4 Lighting showbar, par 56 cans, 300w bulbs, flightcases, cables & stands. They are fully working and come complete with Protex flight cases. The bars can be used independently and as a linked pair as well as being controlled using DMX. Information, manuals and pricing is easily available on the internet and the whole setup would have originally cost nearly £750. All the units and cases are in full, good working order.
  5. For sale or trade is my spare Stagg +48v phantom power supply useful for condenser mics etc. Its in good condition and had very little use as one I had bought it I changed my mixer to one with +48v on board.
  6. I’m currently changing out my lighting equipment and have 2 x iMove IM-5S moving heads complete with Prolight flight cases, DMX cables, spare bulbs and install brackets. The heads can be used independently and as a pair but the most flexibility and control comes with the iSolution DMX controller included in the sale. Information, manuals and pricing is easily available on the internet and the whole setup would have originally cost nearly £900. All the units and cases are in full, good working order. I’m asking £240 for the lot
  7. I use a Tecamp Puma 900 which has a "Taste" knob (who comes up with these names??) which allows you to dial in either a more old school or hi-fi tone. Or a Demeter HBP-1 800D but these are now direct from the USA (I think?)
  8. 3 or 4 knob? With plate? With knobs? With VTC? Thanks
  9. Darned weather. I didn't manage to get to the show the last 2 years and was looking forward to this one.....but......due to weather etc I wont be able to go so my full weekend tickets available. ** London Bass Show Weekend Ticket ** Glad I hadn't booked flights and hotel in advance! For those who manage to get there I hope you all have a great time.....I'm off to build an igloo instead
  10. Sometimes it can be a problem with the WIDTH of the nut slot. If the original gauge were a snug fit and then you fit thicker strings they wouldn't sit far enough down into the nut and could cause some buzz (it would tend to be only on open strings though)
  11. Price now includes mainland UK shipping.
  12. Cant quite see the electric bit but I would agree with the violence.......if I tried playing it, it would be a severe attack on the hearing system!
  13. I've booked my ticket for this year but not my travel arrangements yet as I'm waiting to see what artists are going to be there. I really enjoyed my last few visits but currently it seems a very similar line up to previous years. I wish the organisers would release the full artist list earlier rather than this trickle they tend to do as I think many (like myself) who live outside of London need to plan in advance for transport and hotels etc. The closer it gets to the event the less likely I am to attend due to the increase in costs for late booking I am sure that there's a good marketing reason they drip feed us with "artist announcements" but to me at this late stage it always "appears" as if even they don't know who's going to be there! I can't think of any other musical event that I would go to without knowing the lineup! If I lived closer and could just jump on a local train or bus I would be at the show every time but when coming down for the full show could cost me near on £500 I start looking around at what GAS I can feed with that cash instead Anyway......semi-rant over and I've got my fingers crossed that I can still make it.
  14. Just sold Dave a 12U rack case. Very easy deal with good comms and payment. Deal with confidence 👍
  15. This is the second deal I've done with Mark and as with the last one it went really easily. I sold him my Barefaced Big Twin T cab. Sad to see it go but its gone to a good home. Good comms, smooth deal, easy payment....what more could you want? Deal with utmost confidence
  16. Price now includes mainland UK shipping.
  17. I don't know how you play at the moment but with the above comments I would say make sure your left hand is anchored by the thumb being at the back of the neck and not hooked over the top of the fretboard. This opens the hand more and allows you to reach the strings etc easier. Have fun
  18. Here's my old 6'er that I traded a few years ago.... ....and my 5'er I traded it for
  19. Now gone :-)
  20. If you can PM me your address I can get a post quote :-) Just the blue one available.
  21. Some interest shown but I think Santa got in the way
  22. Last bump
  23. It's a 6/8 rhythm that's used in a lot of different styles but I've mainly heard it called a "blues shuffle". Other examples - Stevie Ray Vaughn - Pride And Joy, Quo - Whatever You Want,
  24. This is a : "Congratulations, you have just won the award for "The longest thread title in the history of Basschat that will probably never be beaten until the next time someone writes and incredibly long title that's longer than the last to try and check how many letters are the maximum number you can put in a title before it explodes" .....type bump GLWTS
