1. Classic Dave! Have you watched his video where he describes his experience of gigging with one?
 2.
Guess I just have to hope the character either never gets seen again or meets an unpleasant but otherwise anonymous demise.
Let's hope he manages to 'work in' his new CD before that happens?
 3.
No worries.
... and I was having a giggle at his giggle
 4.
This thread is kinda turning into bass direct fan boys VS haters lol
Kind of a new thing on BC?
 5.
Slightly less so in operatic circles.
Well, no dad. I'm not attempting to defend these vocal effects, its just an observation?
 6.
Chart music is a tiny part of the totality of music. It may have a high profile, but it is an irrelevance. The "future of singing" is safe. It just ain't in the hands of western chart music and its purveyors.
I hope you're right, because there does seem to be a growing trend of using these heavily processed effects on vocals in both chart and non chart music. I guess its the new normal, not mine?
 7. Judging by the amount of chart music where huge amounts of autotune are applied deliberately making the artist sound like a robot, i fear for the future of singing?
 8. What sort of jazz are we talking about here, the "saints come marching in" type or the incidental music from a Dirty Harry movie type?
 9.
I really, really hope it's not just suitable for bedroom practice or tiny venues.
It must be pretty good, there's a two page thread on basschat about it?
 10.
You're all wrong, slags! 'The Sweeny's the greatest TV theme ever!: https://www.youtube....h?v=D99O6oTJVHo
Not forgetting that lots of the incidental musical parts throughout an episode were often bass guitar
 11.
These are good trucks for hauling stuff around, although perhaps not so ergonomic when boarding or alighting from a bus/train/taxi..?
A gentleman would never be seen alighting from a bus
 12. Not exactly up and coming but Caroline Campbell doesn't get the recognition she deserves. I thought she did a good job with Hugh Cornwell?
 13. I'd be interested too. I still have lots of old vinyl knocking about
 14.
I saw Oasis twice in the early 90s, both times at Glastonbury. The first time they hadn't really broken through and were playing early afternoon on the NME stage. The next time they were headlining the Pyramid. Both performances were pretty much exactly like what Liam did at Manchester, standing stock still, hands behind back, sneering into the microphone, and to be fair he's made quite the career out of it.
All that 'swagger' is OK when you're 21 but he's getting a bit old for that now isn't he?
 15. Yeah, I'm watching with my daughter. Who is the bass player?
 16.
All very creative, but would you run the washing machine via di straight into PA or would you mic it up.
No, there's a simpler way than that. Just bit-torrent directly onto twitter via ps3 link downloaded from iplayer streamed via podcast direct to ipad
 17. Has Bill Nelson ever been on the show?
 18. This is the problem when you are an enthusiastic fan and know every note of every song, when you hear a cover band that makes changes, it can be painful.
 19.
Dave is a great man!
Yes he is, a real character and highly watchable. His 'Rick' story is interesting?
 20. http://www.youtube.com/user/davey4557 You can't beat a bit of Dave?
 21. I feel for guys that play three gigs at the weekend and hold down a 9 to 5 monday to friday?
 22.
As is the seller who initiated this... does it mean he gets to pay court costs when he doesn't turn up?
I have no idea, I will get the full SP when I see my sis on Sunday.
