  2. Just had a message in response to a wanted ad, the usual vague non committal stuff. The user in question is 'gearmas', newly registered today. Anyone else had messages from him?
  3. Trades?
  4. It was kind of based on a jazz bass I had at the time, ie a similar profile neck etc. originally it had bartolini soap bars paired with an East 2 band EQ. Sounded nice but a bit of a one trick pony, so I went for the EMG setup which improved it massively. Used it regularly for about 5 years on gigs and studio work then I acquired a rather lovely warwick 5 which I fell for and this bass became surplus. In an ideal world I'd have liked to have kept it but I'm glad it's being used and loved.
  5. This was originally made for me.
  6. Definitely won't sell the body on its own?
  7. Thanks for all the advice chaps, that faital pro looks intriguing.
  8. Apparently there is no recone kit available, and a new driver from Westside is £380!
  9. Hi chaps, I have a Mesa powerhouse 15 cab with a dead speaker, appears to need a recone. I've taken it to my local amp repair specialists who are taking a fair while to establish whether there is a recone kit for it. Do any of you fine gents know if such a thing is available?
  10. Whereabouts in east anglia?
  11. Warwick FNA, early one with the skinny wenge neck, 4 string.
  12. Hi, where are you based?
  13. Baby wipes.
  14. B strings are great for unblocking toilets.
  15. Just bought Stevens EMG pickups and eq, great guy to deal with, really helpful. Highly recommended.
  16. I played this bass when mike built it, awesome bit of kit, some great sounds in it.
  17. Just bought an EMG pickup off Francis, what a helpful patient guy he is! Francis, you rock!
  18. Longtrack Studios in Marks Tey in essex, superb studio, great sound, great equipment and Nathan who owns it is a recording genius.
  19. I've had to the opportunity to play several Foderas over the years, found them all to be slightly underwhelming in terms of tone and feel. They're fine if you like that sort of thing but I wouldn't class them as the holy grail of basses.
  20. Hi mate, would you consider a straight sale? Geoff.
  21. I used to play for Greta and the strayshots too! Small world innit? If I remember rightly I generally used Hartke stuff back then, although I did have a Tech 2x12 cab that I replaced the drivers in,may have been that.
  22. I used to play bass with Steve and Graham at Pam's Bar. Quite a while ago now. Geoff.
