KSD 605 5string,2 tone sunburst, rosewood board,35" scale,EBS preamp, badass bridge,in really good condition, one small nick on the lower edge. This is a very versatile bass thanks to the onboard EBS preamp which offers bass/treble cut and boost and a nifty mid cut mini switch, which helps with those sparkly slap type sounds. Also does a good vintage type sound too. £500 ono. Might be interested in trades, especially 34" scale 5 strings, or WHY,make me an offer. I am in essex. Geoff.

I haven't used the 15 on its own at a gig,i'll have to try it. Thanks for your help,Geoff.

Depending on the size of the gig i do have a 1x15 that i use with it and i still have the same problem.

Hi guys, thanks for all of your responses. Mr Foxen, they are the original drivers. Wil, I generally boost the bass up to the first line and leave everything else flat although I may cut the high mid a small amount depending on the room. Stevie, the cab is 8ohm. If it is of any relevance I generally use a passive jazz bass. Cheers Geoff.

Hi all, i hope some of the more technically minded chaps among you could spare the time to go over my cabs specs. I have a 4x10 cab made by a known british manufacturer,I'm not going to name it yet because I don't wish to potentially prejudice peoples views towards the manufacturer. The cab itself sounds generally good, deep and punchy, even at reasonable volumes. However at certain points during a gig, it sounds as if the speakers are choking up,no real distortion as such but it's as if the sound kind of strangles. I'm using a Markbass little mark 2, usually with PA support and not at excessive volumes, playing mainly function type stuff. The cab itself is fitted with celestion BN10 300X drivers. It has 2 100mm diameter,140mm long ports that are rear mounted and the internal measurements are 570mmx540mmx395mm. I would greatly appreciate any advice regarding possible alteration of the ports,ie longer, shorter, smaller etc or any other suggestions. Regards Geoff.

Lessons From Someone Other Than A Bass Player
GBH replied to Pete Academy's topic in General Discussion
Personally I have learnt lots of useful stuff about time etc from attending drum clinics,I generally find them more helpful than bass or guitar clinics. Geoff. -
Bought Marks KSD 5 string, absolute pleasure to deal with, couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended.Cheers Mark!

Hi guys, I am selling my yamaha BB415 5 string bass. It's passive with PJ PU's,vol and tone controls,in what i believe they call wineburst( sort of burgundy to black burst) 34" scale. In excellent condition. Great sounding and playing bass,I'm just not into 5's anymore so i never use it. I'm after £150 inc P&P. Cheers Geoff.

Hi Guys, here is my fretless Warmoth Gecko 6 string bass.Flame koa top on mahogany body, figured maple neck with bubinga stringers, unlined ebony fingerboard, basslines asb2 soapbars, aguilar obp3 pre amp and a hipshot bridge. The bass is in good condition, one small mark on the back of the body being the only slight blemish.35" scale. This an incredibly versatile bass, from classic Jacoesque punch to huge blossoming growl this bass does it all. The only reason I want to move it on is because i just don't use the full potential of this great instrument. Ideally I would like to trade this for a fretted 5,pref musicman stingray or lakland 5502/JO/Darryl Jones but i am open to alternatives and offers. Cheers Geoff. Hi, I have a fretless 6 string gecko that I assembled myself. The workmanship of the components is excellent and the finished instrument is absolutely superb. Doesn't seem neck heavy to me,and the overall weight is quite reasonable too, about 9.5lbs. Geoff.
