1. I might be interested. If this is still here in a few days I might give you a shout.
2. Posting a new topic because the old one was a bit of a mess. On offer is my Ibanez BTB775PB 5 string bass. A shame to let it go, but I'm set on a 6 string, so it has to leave. In good condition. There are a couple of very faint scratches on the back of the body and 2 slight finnish blemishes (a small drip of varnish on the 17th fret and a small streak in the finnish at the neck join); I'll try to show them in photos, but they are nothing obvious or that affect the playability. Looking for a trade for a 6 string ideally: Ibanez BTB/SRs, Yamaha TRB1006/RBX6JMs and Cort A6s would be nice, but if you're interested in trading something similar, make an offer. Smaller string spacing is prefered. Although I'd prefer a straight swap, I would consider selling aswell for about £450. Collection in Central Scotland would be great, but if that doesn't suit, we can work out UK postage. I'm not willing to ship outside the UK I'm afraid. Thanks for looking! Here's some pictures: Fretboard marks: Neck mark:
3. I might be interested if my Ibanez moves. 'til then I don't have the money though...
4. Still here. Feel free to make offers for either trades or cash. What's the worst that could happen?
5. Sorry mate, not really looking for a fretless. Thanks for the offer though.
6. UPDATE: A bit slow on the trade interest, so now accepting cash (£475 obo). Trade offers are still welcome: Warwick bolt-on 5/6 strings, G&L L2500s, Musicman Stelring-type (SUB, etc) 5s or other narrow spaced 5/6 strings.
7. At the moment, no. I might consider putting it for sale in the next week or so, depending on what (if any) trade offers I get. I'll send you a message if I change my mind.
8. UPDATE: A bit slow on the trade interest, so now accepting cash (£450 obo). Trade offers are still welcome: Warwick, Music Man and Fender style basses take my interest: 5 or 6 strings with less chunky necks than a BTB are what I'm after. Up for trade is my Ibanez BTB775PB in "Charcoal Brown" finnish. Specs: Neck-through construction (5 piece maple/bubinga) Mahogany wing body Burled poplar top 23/24 fret rosewood fret board (medium frets) Abalone dot inlays + side dots 19mm string spacing 47mm width/20mm thickness at nut, 76mm width at 24th fret, 22mm thickness at 12th fret 35' scale length Monorail bridge Bartolini MK2 pickups and preamp (volume, blend, bass, middle and treble pots) In excelent condition. Almost no buckle rash or other marks; only 2 small blemishes present when I bought it and a small scuff on the headstock (shown in pictures). More pictures available on request. Collection in Central Scotland would be ideal, but will post out within the UK if needed (collection prefered though - no hard case). Thanks for looking!
9. Is the Fortress for sale only? I've an Ibanez BTB775 I'm wanting to part ways with.
10. Yeah, I don't have the option of trying many I'm afraid - I've only found one shop that sells Warwicks - a Thumb, a Corvette 4 and a Corvette 5 with the odd Rockbass scattered around. Is the string spacing the same on the fatter ones? Going by the size chart, the new "standard" necks are a bit thinner and the fat necks are a little thicker than my BTB, but both have narrower necks and string spacing which I think is probably more of a problem than the actual depth for me. If the older standard is the same as the new fat, it might work out fine. Broadneck is a no-go: the 18mm on the BTB is too much for me, I couldn't cope with 20mm.
