1. hiya matey, is this the one that comes with the ACG graft series? if so these are quality bags!
2. Just got a Fender Standard (MIM) Jazz in what I thought was going to be sunburst (as was described to me) but turns out it's 'Copper Metallic burst' which is like a sparkly sunburst and rather fetching... When I picked it up, neck like a nana, intonation a semi-tone out, covered in muck and needing a damn good fettle! Got it home cleaned it up, tuned it, tweaked the neck, string height and intonation adjust and it plays real nicely! Jack socket is knackered but it's getting a kiogon loom replacement anyway to no worries there, I'll get some new strings as these ancient roundwounds have about as much life as a fossil and do it's tone no favours at all and probably some new pickup foam too...should feel and sound like a new'un when am done with it! pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/andy_dye/sets/72157638258262465/ does anyone have any more information on these as there's not much out there (that I can find using google)? was it a limited edition? did I get a major bargain even if it does need a bit of time and a little cash to get it sweet again?
3.
Count me in for a hat should they ever become available. Can I have a Pork Pie hat with a BC branded band please, failing that a Beanie would do
Mmmmm pie
4. Can't believe this is still here!
5.
Stupid question: just because something takes, or sends out on, an XLR cable, doesn't mean that it's mic level, does it. Or does it?
Not necessarily matey, it may be a balanced signal but still might have more or less than the input will like. I prefer to have a level knob on any di send so I can make sure the desk gets the right line level signal
6.
I'm sure it'll be alright - and I won't blame you if not! Much
7.
Good call! I've checked the specs for the Tascam and the line-in sockets are designed for TRS-jack (balanced), so I'm guessing that's a stereo jack lead. In which case this cable should do the job - ? Cheers, Paul
We're skirting the edge of my knowledge here now but it certainly looks like the right thing from their descriptions matey...
8.
Cheers Andy! And thanks for the quick reply
No prob buddy, I know how these questions feel from the other side so speedy reassurance is a welcome thing One caveat / 'thing to watch' (that I've just thought of) would be to ensure that the input on your tascam is a mono jack (I presume this is the case) and not a stereo one just to make sure the signal is getting to the right bit of the jack to suit it...
9. that'll do fine matey
10. s/h is the only way to fly matey unless you're pressed for time in which case you pay the 'new bass tax'...
11. I should add that the Aignew cover, I sent them the measurements myself and they got it precisely spot on!
12. Yep, I've had 2, one for my little Aignew valve combo and one for my Martamp valve combo, both were excellent. Not over thickly padded but a perfect fit and protective enough that the combos looked new when I sold them
13. There's a geddy neck for sale on here too bump
14. The COG effects stuff is getting some excellent reviews on here at the moment, in particular the Knightfall http://www.cogeffects.co.uk/knightfall.php... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/222837-cog-effects-knightfall-well-done-mrtom/page__fromsearch__1
15.
It's not the "how much", it's the way it does it. There's just so much more ... erm... information in every note you play. It's like the old days of watching 425-line US television on holiday on the States, then coming back to 625-line UK tele over here. You're watching the same programmes, and they look exactly the same, only so much better.
now I really want to try one!
16.
...although from some angles, the 'B' won't be visible...
it is a risk that's for sure
17. needs to say BassHat on it though yes?
18. that's an amazing price!
19. v pleased for you matey! I'm very interested in one of these, maybe the 66 though...
20. We know the far east is well capable of making basses that look very much like a rick don't we
21.
I would too. Why aren't they available?! They would be so cooooool (and warm). This is outrageous!!! Who THE HELL runs the merch-...oh...*cough*. We'll look into it. It's probably about time we had another round of orders.
22. yes you can matey, check out the vids of billy on youtube talking through the features of it...there's a clean loop and a dirty loop and you can put whatever you like in them
23. a bc beanie would be most welcome for bonce warming! I would also rather like a bc stetson for summer-keepy-sun-offy-head duties...
24.
I was trying so hard to resist it, did you have to post that & convince me?!? PM'd
