[s]For sale my gator pedal tote pedal board in pocketed bag. Used a good few times but still looking nearly new! a bit redundant now as I've just got a dha pedal that's just too tall to fit in (it's the first time anything hasn't fit!). Excellent condition but has one of the bolts missing that you use to attach a power brick underneath. I attached my diago underneath with velcro and had no trouble £25 collected from around Sheffield.[/s]

So the pedal (inc knobs) measures 75mm and the power supply inc fourway measures 85mm... Think I'll be selling both my pedal totes and getting one of these to do their job: http://www.spider-engineering.co.uk/industry/product.asp?item=spider-guitar-effects-pedal-board-flight-case-medium-3877-4748 2 out, one in has to he a wife friendly move yeah?
Can you measure the pedal? I've got a couple of cases of different makes - I'll measure them out to compare if you like?
cheers buddy! that's tonight's job sorted for me then...pedal measuring!
My DHA fits perfectly inside my aluminium case (a cheap Kinsman one) without putting pressure on the knobs or switches.
oo nice, have you a link to summat similar please?
I have two Spider cases if you want to have a gander at them at some point...
oo that'd be fab!...maybe we could co-ordinate that with a visit to meet a knightfall?
Spider Pedalboard Flightcases aren't a bad option (Flightcase Warehouse), or a second-hand flightcase (ebay is full of them) and then cut a pedalboard to size out of plywood is a potentially cheap option with lots of protection. I would also have a chat with Shep about The Really Awesome Pedalboard Company and whether any of their boards would be suitable with that pedal. Good luck matey!
Cheers bud, I'll measure how high the pedal is tonight and see if one of the spider hardcases will do the job as they're pretty reasonably priced and look sturdy enough! I've looked Mark/Shep's stuff and it's awesome but way more than I need or can afford. I've already got an interface box and sufficient george L cables

I'm looking for a pedal case that'll fit my DHA vt-1 without putting pressure on the knobs etc on top as it's quite a high pedal! It's currently in a gator pedal tote and it's not got enough clearance to the top so I'm looking for an alternative. What do folks use? (It doesn't need to be the size of Nebraska as it's currently only going to have a tuner, the DHA an interface box and a power strip as that's all my new originals outfit needs sonically, in the future I may need more noises so summat slightly bigger would be fine too...) I'm thinking some kind of alu hard case where the lid unclips to leave the base as the pedal board? Anyone got something that works?

[s]For sale, my recently acquired MIM FSR Std Jazz bass, it's a lot like a standard jazz apart from the finish which is 'Copper Metallic Burst' and basically looks like a subtly sparkly sunburst but that doesn't really do it justice, it's very pretty (in the right way!). Played like a dying dog when I got it, neck relief was hilarious, the intonation virtually a semi-tone out and the strings were deader than a dead thing and wouldn't stay in tune or produce any tone, utterly dead! Consequently I thought it was a potentially 'yet another MIM dog'... New strings, a good clean with lots of guitar polish needed (cloth really needed washing afterwards!), some lemon oil on the thirsty fingerboard, a proper set-up and a new kiogon wiring loom and now everything feels good, really good, sounds good too! There are a few marks on the back of the neck (up the dusty end) which you can feel if you look for them but which haven't distracted me while playing, apart from that it's very clean which is a susprise given how grubby it was! In short, this is a really nice jazz bass (and I usually hate both MIM and J basses!) and I've enjoyed cleaning it up and sorting it out it has unfortunately been totally supplanted by Lozz's p bass which hits all the spots I have and is precisely the look and sound needed for my new originals band! If I needed a jazz this would be it, I just don't at the moment and we need the house space more than I need another bass (sad but true)... Comes with a new fender gigbag, it will be very well bubble wrapped and boxed so am happy to ship within the uk. £350 inc uk shipping.
Sorry to be pedantic but doesn't it also depend largely on the quality of the player - I remember someone on here saying they'd seen one of the top pros play someone's starter level bass and made it sound good. OP that's a great looking bass - nice score.

well yes. You won't find me disagreeing with that!
Now it's been cleaned, restrung, set up, action and intonation corrected and made playable it is a really nice bass, lots of fun to play and definately one of 'the good ones' rather than the awful fender qc dogs we hear about! My fingers can get all of the great jazz-bass tones out of it and I'm happier with it than any other jazz bass I've ever had (I did NOT expect to be saying that either!!)!
