  1. “Why don’t we have this conversation somewhere else, only I think the band are using this doorway to move equipment through.”
  2. One to play and to play if the one I'm playing breaks. If there's room, spare's on a stand ready to go, if not, it's in a bag close by also ready to go.
  3. String break at Rock city supporting Dokken, it was the E and whole song revolved around the open E. quick change time! Also had an electrical failure at some venue in Leicester supporting Sikth when my stingray died for no apparent reason, it was fine the next day.
  4. This. Mine was a super pretty bass, but just felt like it had been put together on the cheap, and was very quiet. I regret selling it for personal reasons (it was a present to myself for not dying from covid) but as a working instrument, it wasn’t as good as it looked sadly.
  5. Nothing special last night. Local venue that’s a massive echo chamber. Nice appreciative crowd and an early night 🙂 Job’s a good ‘un!
  6. I got a few pics and video snippets from Saturday night, and one of them was filmed from right by my head, capturing the sound of my Headrush 112 on stage, which someone may find of interest. VIDEO-2023-05-31-12-24-05.mp4 5be173a8-57fe-4a51-8518-2144aff27cf6.mp4
  7. I did the barefoot thing in the 90s, now id never entertain it, way too dangerous on many stages.
  8. Just had something similar. Mini festival, I give a quality, compressed, well balanced signal, and the crowd said afterwards they could barely hear me. ffs.
  9. I use a gator pedalboard bag, it’s a perfect fit for my extras, with a headphone case inside for all the small stuff. plus Two IEM/guitar combo cables three different length mains cables two guitar stands mic and lead, backup psu’s and a stereo 3.5mm cable. Plus a mic stand iPad holder in the outer pocket.

    Jazz

My ‘Trigger’s broom’ 1990 MiJ jazz has been with me since 92. It’s had three necks, including a status graphite, three preamps, lord knows how many pickups etc. it’s retired now, but I’ll never part with it.
  11. Two fantastic shows this weekend. One was a private function for a super-wealthy individual. We played in front of his lake on a mezzanine over a swimming pool and koi pond (and gymnasium with boxing ring). It was quite the eye opener into a very different world. Last night we closed a local festival to a brilliant crowd, many of whom had turned out just for us. We had a pro crew in filming too. No proper pics yet, but I’ve swiped a few from people’s facebook pages.
  12. I used to work in Tandy in Hinckley
  13. Mostly just grumpy for me. If I smile I lose too much bass in my in ear monitors. That and I hate everything. But mostly the in ear thing.

  15. I literally bought a Hipshot this morning. I’ll get more as budget allows. only blimmin sold one that would have fitted last year too!! Must stop selling stuff!
  16. If we had a set list that’s totally what I do, but it’s one of those ‘singer calls it’ situations most often.
  17. Wedding at Cheltenham football club last night. It was ok, I wasn’t really feeling it this time tbh. My in ear mix was brilliant but the crowd lacked energy and I made a few silly mistakes (forgot to tune back up after drop D songs) only I noticed, and I fixed it quick, but it shouldn’t have happened. Hey ho.

  19. Another standard local pub gig last night, but the crowd was a lot of fun and it was a much needed release. Off to play at a wedding later. 1b466115-f4c9-4984-b95b-e642717ff38f.mp4
  20. Thanks. It’s got lovely figuring and a high gloss that almost looks wet. ‘Twas a find for sure
  21. Been a tad busy this week, but last weekend was fab. Just a local boozer where I’m squished into a corner, but my uni course is so intense it felt amazing just to feel like ‘me’ again for a few hours. This weekend is a double whammy so I’m looking forward to that! here's a few pics from Sat.
