  1. Yeah, behringer here too, I use the app, it’s ace.
  2. Spend a lot of time getting to know your sound at volume and through your rig, and then go back and forth tweaking the IEM signal path to be as representative as possible.
  3. I’ve spent a long time tweaking my iem signal route to accurately reflect what I’m sending to foh, (compensated for the headphones), so that if I tweak the onboard eq (or passive tone) it’s in line with what the audience are hearing. This took bloomin ages to get right though!
  4. Mine was just insane. I took the covers band I play for to my local, where I’ve played literally hundreds of times with other acts and all my mates go etc etc. It’s much smaller than our usual venues, so I knew it would be a squeeze, but I was totally unprepared for the sight that greeted me when I arrived! Cases and cables were just everywhere, it was utter carnage. We started playing and a few songs in, the power to our area died. It took ten minutes to get it back on and the router connected to the iPad for the Xair mixer again. Next song - the mic stand on the guitar amp just randomly collapsed…and the guitarist’s board locked up and had to be restarted. Then the power went off again. Another ten minutes later we were back in business (again) - when the singer’s acoustic battery ran out. Engineer ran up and switched it while he switched out to electric for a song. Back to acoustic again for the next song and his transmitter failed…so the engineer switched it for a cable mid song… …which failed in the next song. Then the drummer threw up all over his kit…. A lot. I mean a LOT. Then he did it again….and again…so much it splattered my bass as it bounced back off the snare head. The entire kit and drum mat was just coated in the stuff. And the walls. And the drummer. And basically everything else. We stopped. Singer did an acoustic song to finish the show whilst the drummer went white and scraped chunks off his kit…Gig was over. … Until the drummer decided to keep going, and so we pressed on and did three more songs with the poor lad looking very peaky and a tremendous smell hanging over us... Show must go an’ all! Crowd loved it, we had a great time and are being rebooked for a higher fee. We’ve not had a single issue at a gig in three years. I think all three years’ worth of minor niggles caught up with us in one night! Sorry, no pics, the pub was too full of people dancing for the engineer to even see the band and we were all busy dodging chunks!
  5. Good point! The weight is one of this models main selling pints! Behold… yup. A shade over 5lbs!!!
  6. Nothing fancy last night, a well to do pub in Alcester, it felt like a jazz gig, we were playing to terribly middle class people sat around little tables. They enjoyed and so did we, but it was very different! Playing my local tonight for the first time with this band.
  7. If this had been a four I’d,ve snapped it up, it’s just gorgeous glwts
  8. Waste a moment by kings of Leon, I know nothing about them, so have no concept of whether it’s well known or not, but it falls flat quite often.
  9. I’ll now consider trades on this, but my interests are fairly limited! I tend to like Rays/Ibanez/Warwicks. 4s only and fretted.
  10. I use a rolls, fed from a zoom ms60b with amp simulation, it works great. This then goes to a custom cable from designacable which takes both guitar and headphone signals.
  11. Had a change, I wanted to go back to my smaller board as it’s festival season (shlep season!) This still allows me to run a separate chain to my IEMs with amp sim etc (or to my Headrush cabs) and then send my main signal to FOH. The EQ on the right is for a few notes in a royal blood song.
  12. Sounds serendipitous I could throw in an extra string. 😂
  13. Have ‘accidentally’ bought a(nother!) new bass, so really need this gone now!
  14. It really is! I’m prepared to consider offers on this especially if it’s collected. I really am in a fix here. I know this is going to leave me out of pocket
  15. Good condition, fully working, boxed with manual, no psu. £50 plus a few quid postage, uk only. cracking little box, this was a backup.
  16. Two soggy stages for ‘The Bridge’ yesterday. Gloucester Quays food festival and Cheltenham 7s rugby festival. Thankfully, both sets actually ended up being mostly played in the dry and people soon appeared for a dance and sing which was nice. ‘‘Twas a lovely day, with the shows being punctuated by a nice tapas lunch on expenses. Played my Ibanez soundgears on both sets, SR1200 on 1 and my salvage project SR500 on set 2, both just through IEMs. The PA system at Cheltenham 7s was really powerful with a great sound. Some radio 1 DJ was on after us and it made me chuckle that even on a stage that big, the DJ still seemed to have taken up all the space and plugs! Seemed a lot of kit for a memory stick! She wasn’t even mixing, just playing songs one after another like a ‘Now’ compilation 😂.
  17. It really is lovely. The truss rod is fine, I have an Ibanez that’s exactly the same. I much prefer a stiff rod over a floppy one. 😳
  18. My misfortune could you be your fortune! I’ve literally only had this a couple of days, having bought it on a misguided whim from eBay (although I now realise it was a basschatter). It’s clearly stunning. I mean, just look at it!! It’s amazing!! However, in one of those ‘that’s life’ moments, my car has thrown up a few issues that need urgently sorting before I put my family in it for a long drive to our holiday. So this has to go straight back out the door! I’m not too gutted though, as I’m moving more towards more compact basses these days anyway and it’s so pretty I’d be a bit scared to ding this!! As you can see, it’s in super top condition, with Hipshot ultralight tuners, markbass preamp, babicz bridge and nordstrand pickups. Not to mention the custom knobs (spares and the originals are included, along with the toolkit and hang tags). Plus the beautiful, plush fitted case with embroidered logo. This is such a luxurious package!! It’s beautifully set up with a low action and is ready to go. It plays beautifully and sounds amazing - especially for slap. These pickups are fantastic!! The only negatives I can find are that the burl (and flamed!) top join could be tighter in a few spots and the truss rod is quite stiff (it’s fine, it works well and has plenty of movement it’s just a bit stiff, I think the bass is still quite new). It really is a total bargain of a boutique bass for not much cash. The price is £550 ONO and collection from Cheltenham is now the only way I’m afraid. EDIT: car now sorted. Bass still for sale. poss trade for Ibanez EHB/Ibanez SR/Sterling ray/try me. Fretted 4s only.
  19. It’s a nice position to be in The two of them had never actually met until last night, they swapped numbers and agreed to compile their own rota for shows from now on. We spent some time deciding on a collective noun for sound guys before setting for a ‘tangle’.
  20. Private function last night in a local venue we’re very familiar with. It was a tad odd though, cause our guitarist was away, so the engineer depped for him and our backup engineer took over FOH. The sound was odd all night, I was adjusting to a more compact board I’ve prepared in readiness for a couple of shleps/tight spots, and the room is like a giant toilet, so I was glad to be done tbh.
  21. For maximum healing effect I play it on guitar though I’m afraid
