  1. Brilliant gig in Hereford last night, always a great venue with a great crowd. Paid well, played well and even had a couple of pints 16313BAB-3F94-4E88-B4D4-DDF3B7C11EA7.MOV
  2. I sing and play guitar a lot. But singing and playing bass….’tis witchcraft I tells thee. I can manage the odd BV depending on the song and that’s basically it.
  3. An older pic, and the only one of me in a hat I believe. But alas, not actually on stage.
  4. Precisely why I use one for living on a prayer
  5. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  6. I'll always regret parting with my s2 classic deluxe back in the day, anything more than an energy is hopelessly beyond me now. I do still hope to pick up a Washburn status one day though.
  7. I really loved my enhanced, but just couldn’t manage the weight. (We play 2.5 hours straight)
  8. Mine was just ‘ok’. Standard private party stuff. A few dancers, paid ok, played ok and home. Job done.
  9. This one? I actually had a second 8x10 stack with a Laney PB400 too, only used them both at the same time once, in a warm up gig for the Styx tour with Double Cross. It was a lot of fun and luckily the police didn’t arrive till after we’d finished 😂
  10. Think mines getting a headstock sanding now! Nice one.
  11. That’s how I used to do it, run the pre shape and compensate. …Except sometimes, when I just used the sheer power of an AH400smx into two 4x10s and a bright box to compensate for the mid cut 😂😂
  12. Nice gig last night in Worcester, nothing fancy, but we played well and the audience seemed to enjoy it. Job done.
  13. I think I’m going to have to pull this. I just took the pics and make the mistake of cleaning it up and playing it. And oh my word it’s good! I’ll pull it and ponder for longer.
  14. Just got a message that guitar guitar messed up and my vox isnt coming today, so I’ve gone ahead and cancelled the order. Ah well
  15. Will do, apologies, it’s my last week of pgce placement 2, so been super busy. Come Saturday I’ll have time
  16. I bought one last night, I had one before briefly and returned it, it was a bit of a disaster to be fair. But for £200, I don’t mind some fettling and modding. I’d rather like an artist with the maple neck tbh, but cant stretch to one. Fingers crossed this one is better than the last one. It’s due to arrive on Sat.
  17. Another Headrush user here. I bought two to use as pa/acoustic rig/bass rig/guitar amp, and they’re great. I rarely use them these days as I prefer IEMs, but I certainly don’t need to lug two about as I did on the day pictured, one is plenty for monitoring on stage. If I were to use them as room filling backline I’d take both just in case. They sound great and I like sounding onstage more like the out front sound, as opposed to sounding like a bass rig that only I hear. It helps me judge things like pickup and eq changes more accurately.
  18. Well, it was Cheltenham race week for me. Normally I do 6pm till midnight for five nights on acoustic and vocals, on an upstairs/downstairs rotation with two other guys in the first pub next to the race course. But since the whole nearly dying of covid thing, I can’t do that anymore, so I was on bass this year and only did three shows a bit further into town. The first two were standard race week stuff, just fighting off utterly hammered, red-faced, tweed clad muppets demanding oasis for every. Single. Song. But last night was a birthday party in a local pub and was just lush from start to finish, one of my fave gigs of the year. Plenty of space for me, no muppets crashing into me (ok, one did take a tumble over the foot lights, but only one), I had a great sound in ears and had great fun locking in with the drummer. Top night. E3E2671B-5307-44E1-9471-AA736120A7BB.MOV E2FA44FD-F1C9-4E05-AAAB-A6BA0EA41F80.MOV
  19. Fab little speaker that does a great job of being a stage monitor for bass/vocals Or a guitar amp, or an acoustic amp. Or a party speaker, or a gazillion other things. Very nice it is too. Just a bit unused these days, so up for sale for collection only from Cheltenham. Some scuffs from being moved around, buts it’s had almost no use! £150
  20. (I’ll take more pictures later) GAS has struck, so whilst the other item is available I’m closing my eyes and listing my SR1200. I’m sure you know the deal with these by now! Nordstrands, beautifully made, plays and sounds just amazing! This one in particular has a figured top that shifts and shimmers, it’s impossible to capture in a picture, it almost looks ‘wet’ sometimes. Quite stunning. It’s a well played bass with minor knocks and dents from gig life, which I’ll picture later. It comes with the fancy Ibanez matching case. Totally collection only from Cheltenham I’m afraid. I know this limits me, but I’m doing a pgce and don’t have time to blink let alone sort postage. I also have no packaging. The bass is fully working, very well set up, with no issues and has just had a brand new neutrick barrel jack fitted too. Only listing whilst I’m GASsing!! If I miss out on what I’m after, this will be back out gigging with me as usual. I don’t actually want to sell it, but you know how it goes!
  21. Absolute genius..might have to go back to my Benton board now! (Switched to Pedaltrain)
  22. This takes me back, they used to have one hanging on the wall as a decoration in the pub next to my old uni music campus. ‘It’s a cool thing indeed.
  23. I've owned five or six stingrays and they all had this issue.
