1. just emailed this off to rotosound
 2. ive just had a quick scan through and page 251 looks vaguely close to what you are after
 3. http://www.groovemon...chaltungen1.pdf PM me your email address i have the previous version of this which is 4mb and has 302 pages
 4.
I've put that on the Calendar
apologies mr clauster but the gig at cross keys is now cancelled - will let you know if we get an alternative later date there
 5.
The best promoter and cheapest, will be yourselves. An agent, if you can find one or a manager will cost you up to 25%. Just phone round or visit the venues.
+1 def this - would only bother with agent if you were considering going after big function gigs ed - check out sites like www.mrgig.com and search around the areas you want to play local to you and make a list of the venues and call them - you can also search through bands on here and find bands who are similar to yourselves and see what venues they have played at
 6.
Could anyone give sound advice on registering a domain name please ? I have this morning been trying to reg a name for a new site www.funkbass.com when i have been onto various registering sites 123 etc, they say its available, and to go to the checkout and pay. then just before i press the buttons to pay i thought al check myself, so i type www.funkbass.com. into the search bar at the top and low and behold a site has been created !!!, now when i go to some of the sites that perviously said it was free are now saying its in use !! but 123 are still saying its free and pay.. almost as if 123 have put a site up to stop someone else getting it till i have paid, ( which they have not,...... have they ??) can anyone give me clear steps to do this, or the 1 or 2 sites that dont mess around ? Thanks breath in.... breath out..... and..... unstress........

I'm not entirely sure about this but here goes a sensible-ish sounding set of logic: ...a domain seller 'buys' / assumes the rights to loads of domains and puts their 'temporary page' or 'holding page' there so that no-one else can snag it as it already 'belongs' to them, they then try to sell that domain name...hey presto 'domain retail'!?
+1 when you search to see whether a name you want is available the golden rule is not to type in the box which says CHECK HERE TO SEE IF YOUR DOMAIN NAME IS AVAILABLE if you do this then they will check it and if it is available you will only have a very limited time until it is magically sniped this is nothing new this practice has been going on for years - i discovered this mistake back in late 90s when searching for availability and the name had been bought within 24 hours - in the early days of the interwebs the sniping worked in everybodys favour so that joebloggs could register tescosupermarket.com and then attempt to sell it for a very fast and large wedge. More recently they have introduced rules on name registration that you can only register a name for a business if you can demonstrate connection or authorisation from that business. if you need to search whether a domain name is available best thing is to just type it into the address bar of your browser and see what results . whois search could also work but personally i wouldnt even trust that 100% but then i am a rather old and hardened cynic these days
 7. not mine ... just spotted on gumtree
 8. Marcus if i manage to get over to the bass bash on saturday (work pending etc) i will bring a hydrive410 over so you can demo it (i dont think anybody on the list on the bass bash thread has listed any hartke gear)
 9. is the hum constant all times or does it change when you touch strings or any other metal parts? is the jack fitting snugly into the socket could be an easy fix if its a loose wire or bad solder joint somehwere if you are confident to fix yourself otherwise back to the shop if all the control plate needs looking at and/or bridge plate might need lifting to check the ground contact underneath
 10.
Do you have any pictures? Cheers
are you all blinged up mr T ?
 11. ive never yet heard of a punter coming up at a gig and asking to see the back of an instrument to check for buckle rash and if they did would your bass skills diminish in their esteem if your bass was all scabby like?
 12.
Totally disagree Steve. While the enhance circuit does add a lot of very high end, which you wouldn't necessarily get from a passive bass, it's very synthetic high end and not desirable at all IMO. As a limiter it's a great pedal, just keep the enhance control turned off!
i keep the enhance down under 50% - am very keen to try the hartke pedal too hopefully somebody may have one at the SE bass bash to tempt me away from the LMB-3 so i can flog it to Cosmo
 13.
What do these actually do? Not being sarcastic, I really don't know!
aside from basic compression they sort of colour and enhance the tone rather nicely - if you have a nice passive bass and wonder what it would sound like with active EQ on board then just put it through one of these and you will get a fairly good idea soundcheck here and a few up on youtube also
 14.
Sadly, not as yet. However, this has now gone.
no worries pesky iphones/EE network !
 15. likewise - i thought this and the preceding few albums were so good that the following albums after signals didnt really cut it for me and post signals was when i slowly started to drift away from having them up there in my top favourites
 16. hi SkinnyMike as its all splitting up what sort of price would you be looking at for the sub please?
 17.
Surprising how few people are using Ampeg which I expected to see more off. Lightweights seem to be most popular too. Dave
i would be interested to see some statistical analysis of gear weight against player age for as long as my back will stand it i will lug the hartke kit around if only hartke made a more powerful small 12/15 combo and small extension cab...........
 18.
You don't - if they're interested then they're interested, but don't try & force your interest in music onto your kids; there's nothing worse than being forced to do something you have no interest in.
this and also if they perceive the whole piano schtick as 'being cool and fun' because you like it then despite the informal setting that will put them off even more (kids/parents psychology 101) also mushers comment too above about peer pressure counts for a lot with kids that age - they are much more likely to be motivated if their friends are doing likewise and enjoying it
 19. Hartke cab and head main reason - best value decent rig going imho
 20. Squier are cheaper and just as good ....imho
 21. ooh yes forgot that one thats a nice one too - best played on autopilot though rather than trying to count
