2. judging from the comments ive had from other bass players on my own instruments which i have set up then i would seem to be doing something right although notwithstanding that i am not scared to attack the bass with a screwdriver and allen key i would be first to admit that there is still a lot to be learnt about the fine details of the science of setups personally i find programming the video recorder damn near bloody impossible!
 3.
Thanks for the heads up. Wish I'd made the trip to Maidstone now.
http://basschat.co.u...oct-shorne-kent next gig

 8.
Yes! Makes you wonder why anyone would buy anything more expensive than a Squier CV, really. *Hides in wardrobe*
why splash out that much when you can get a decent squier affinity series
 9. ermm Statuseses and for sake of inclusion anything similar with graphite neck - they have a particular envelope to their sound due to their construction with a punchy attack and a very long and slow sustain and decay compared to wooden necks - obviously it doesnt suit everybodys style of playing but they certainly are unique in their sound characteristics
 10. if you keep your eyes peeled on forums you might be lucky enough to pick up a TRB1005 for <500
dont forgot the blue smarties
Sounds like he wants 200 guitar solos. 16.
I don't think there's any new ground to be broken... BUT,,, there will always be creative people and it would take someone in an enormously popular band who has personality to be considered a superstar innovator, even if he's just a good player. (Think Flea). BUT... ...because the music industry is dead and music is so assessable, I don't see that happening. Name ONE band that set the stage for a generation since the popularity of YouTube. I can't think of any.
youtube isnt about setting the stage for a generation imho - unless of course it is a generation of shallow fickle fashion followers who know sod all about music - that whole schtick has been monopolised buy scowell and the likes to be fed relentlessy to the brain-dead proles on the other hand youtube has brought us wonderful lasting music like this http://youtu.be/Cvar4ZsqsEo
 17. and i bet he wants his own monitor to put his foot up on and a fan to waft his hair too while he stands in front of his double 4x12 stack did you tell him there is quite a difference being in a 'real live gigging band' and 'PS Rock Band'

 20.
I told my drinking companions about a piece I'd written in which two or more voices sing exactly the same melody (and may continue repeating it indefinitely), but with each voice beginning at different times so that different parts of the melody coincide in the different voices, but nevertheless fit harmoniously together. They just said it was my round.
was the pub called 'The Cannon' by any chance?
 21.
This is coming to a crescendo.
no im sure somebody will come up with another one if you wait a minuet
