Cheers, Kev
great stuff Kev have now found you r website and bookmarked and listening to Silvertide - very nice
 2.
I know a fair bit of theory, I use it in everything I play but, I have absolutely no idea what a tierce picarde is...
just think of it as a happy third - in a nutshell a piece in a minor key resolving on the final cadence to the major https://en.wikipedia...i/Picardy_third edit - apologies lord sausage you beat me by a few seconds there
 3.
Needs more 13th chord stabs!

I love how tight they are although they're so tight with the stabs at times its bordering on OCD. I think they will gain more respect doing their own material than rehashing other songs because not all the songs they've played fit into their playing style. I wish the bass was fatter in the mix because the keyboards and drums seem to dominate everything which is a shame because Henrik is doing some interesting stuff..
as much as i do like them i agree with these comments - the stabs all are pretty much all in the same syncopation - hopefully though over time they will develop more with their own original material and start taking these arrngements in new directions otherwise they will just end up groovy but interminably formulaic - maybe part of the issue is that they have undoubtedly hit on a good formula wiht all their unique cover version arrangements and its that old cliche of if it aint broke dont fix it? how many times in pop music history have we seen 'winning formulas' (ie money spinners usually) go on and on and on until everybody has become terminally bored and moved onto the next new genre?
 4.
But I'm rejoining the financially debilitating world that is BC. I have GAS cramps and my bank account's panicking already. Oh god. Anyone want to buy some rubbish old Japanese basses? J.
enough posts to know better!!! listen carefully i will say this only once save money ... buy squier and hartke and forget all that fancy fodera schtuff edit .... were you abducted by bass playing aliens if so do they prefer Ps or Js ?
 5. yes am liking this also very much - when i first saw it on facespace i was trying to think who did the original of 'hit me' until i noticed the comment about it being their first original offering

 11. if anybody buys but wants the original pups i would offer to buy the wizards please
 12. if the head is removable from the cab and could be placed in a 2U rack case i would stick with the head use it with a hydrive410 i use the 2500 head with a hydrive410 regularly for gigging - even when you think you cant hear it on stage above the pesky guitarists ive never had any complaints that i couldnt be heard further back in the venue
 13. i blame kenny ball or was it kenny g i cant remember nurse .... NURSE
 14.
Hi folks, I've just had a claim for compensation refused by Parcelforce. They will only honour insurance claims for musical instruments up to 100GBP, even if you take out enhanced compensation, and only if the instrument is sent in what they judge to be a hard case. In my experience they will sell you enhanced compensation at the Post Office counter - Parcelforce are owned and operated by the Post Office - even if they are aware you are sending a musical instrument. The terms and conditions are not explained to you, and on checking with the branch I used the Post Office do not have them in printed format. In my case, the appeals centre responded with what I now know is their standard refusal that allegs the item was "inadequately packaged". This is despite the box I used being a double thickness corrugated cardboard one, with bracing pieces and packing to ensure the guitar could not move once inside the box. Even with this packaging, it arrived with impact and pressure damage that resulted in a smashed scratch plate and dents through the finish that exposed the wood on both neck and body. The worst part for me is that the guitar had arrived unscathed from Slovakia in a much flimsier box only a few weeks ago. The box I then used to send it from London to Manchester was one that Fender had used to send a special order to a local dealer via the US Postal Service - the box was immaculate, and that's despite the USPS having a fearsome reputation for mistreating parcels!
this sounds pretty much like the synopsis you will need to write on your small court claim form
 15.
It's a great excuse though, isn't it? "Dude, you totally f***ed up the chorus" "Nah man, I was just jazzing it up a bit."
no no no no no no noooooo f*ing it up is not acceptable chord substitution is a complex artform not some random process
 16.
It's the f**king self-satisfied nodding that I can't be doing with...
whatever you do dont watch any Miles Davis then!

 21. anyways so as not to sidetrack bubingas OP too much ... just been checking through DH on the dreaded spotify and found this ... superb combination of DH and Quincy Jones soundtrack album Come Back Charleston Blue http://youtu.be/bJJ-1lCLngQ
 22.
Wow. Hadn't seen this one before. Thanks for posting!
its dreadful video quality but you can still hear his voice enough to tell just how good he is - to my ears a very similar voice to nat king cole quirky songs not the greatest production/mixing but a bit of a marmite album - i love it
 23. i often tend th this
Fingernails down a blackboard time. Hideous. Andy you're right - there's a load of people around peddling this nonsense. Sing in your own voice, fer cryin' out loud. It's like listening to an impressionist.
but usually end up back at this
I enjoyed it. Having acts playing live, with mistakes and fluctuations, is still preferable in my opinion, to the homogenised Simon Cowell fayre on offer elsewhere. ... I guess I'm just a fan of hearing people make a musical noise. I've been this way for 35 years, and my delight in music hasn't faded yet.
