1. if you were closer id be over with the beer tokens in my sweaty paws apologies if teaching to suck eggs but have you tried a second cab? most guitairist will look at a single 4x10 with a 'meh' look of contempt and just turn up a bit more but when they see two 4x10's its visually much more intimidating the second cab pulls the full power rating from the amp and iy will be noticeably louder - i only use hartke2500 head at moment and with single cab it copes ok with pub gigs (unless guitarist keeps turning up of course) - but add an extra cab and it becomes a trouser flapping monster!
 2.
Quality of beard? Poor/clearly just started shaving/f***ing hipster --> Probably just bought the Jazz because someone convinced them it was "boutique" and/or looks less "mainstream" than a P (or something, I don't know how these pillocks think). Can't actually play the damn thing; too busy posing and looking "ironic" with it.
i just LOLd
 3.
I believe the usual form is to carry a rolled up copy of BGM, and do the 'special' hand signal.
Slapping the invisible kingbass ?
 4.
it's spelt: *Wooten* ...must be a different bloke then innit...
Beatles Schmeatles.

 12.
I can hear the Kings of Leon pretty well (particularly the bass and kick) tonight. Thing is they are playing in Bellahouston Park which is about 2.5 miles away from my flat, well across the river and with windows shut. Can't stand the band either, natch.
phone local council - get them to send EHO's around and pull the plug unless they turn down - seems to be all the rage with local councilcs at the moment
 13. my number one bass was a TRB from evilbay which was bought blind - two of my other basses were from the forums on here - the fourth was a pre-owned squier from local music shop
 14. scissor sisters filthy & gorgeous carly rae jepsen call me maybe
 15.
In relation to this topic it was me who put up the bass for sale. I researched the bass on the internet for prices they are selling for, photos etc and then photographed my bass only to put the wrong ones up. eBay would not change them so I stuffed myself in the foot. I have removed the listing and would like to apologies to the owner of the bass I ended up using in error. I will re-list the bass again with my correct photo's and once again I'm sorry. But you guys were right to bring this to our attention.
so you can sell it on the forum here now - a nice old aria like that will get much better attention on here than evilbay
 16. Is some basschat sleuth going to image search the pics to see if they too have been lifted from elsewhere?
 17. all decades are good except the 90s i <3 the 60s as i have a tape recorder memory and i can recall vividly all the stuff i heard on radio in mid 60s from age of about four
 18.
Am i correct in thinking that each fret's tuning is not going to be perfect but it's got to be close ? Atm, I'll get at the 12th fret on the D string -16.6 cent. How much is okay ?
16 is a long way out play the harmonic at 12th fret on open string and then play the string fretted at 12th frey and compare the frequencies - if the intonation is set up correctly they should be within a couple of cents of each other
 19. oui allo bonjour
 20. right handed basses especially when played back to front and upside down
 21.
so there needs to something else good about it.
willl play bass for food! lol
 22.
Guys, how does a pub afford to pay a band?
band brings along their own rentamob we tend to get offered quite a few gigs as our band members are known and the venues know our ability to bring a fair few punters along to put beer tokens across the bar a couple of months back we played a well known music pub in ashford on a saturday night - our set is not exactly their usual type of rock band - but we took a good crowd along with us - everybody appeared to be enjoying themselves (and importanltly for the venue ... drinking and spending their beer tokens!) afterwards the girls behiind the bar did comment that it was the best saturday night takings for several months
 23.
I really like Herdim triangular picks...nothing else feels as comfortable. Not a Herco I realise, but I never expected to have a strong preference in picks either.
+1 for these - i remember these from 70s in my misspent guitar playing youth days - use Dunlop blacks now if i have to use a pick
