Using a solvent maay attack teh paint surface.... I'd recommned using a hairdryer to warm up teh sticky, which will soften it, then with a rag roll it up by repeatedly pushing it in one direction. Should ball up then....

Claim on your insurance and then sell it to me......! Seriously tho' if you fancy having a go at straightening out, lay it on the floor open with the open side down (both outersides up) place a peice of wood under the bent part ( to raise it off the floor) and then apply body pressure (staright arms leaning down on it either side of the bend) to straighten the metal support..... Should work...

Hummmmn, weel you can either i) put up with it, or ii) experimnet with other strings until you get one nearer what you want. I've found out FWIW, that one bass will make the sound you want with 1 or maybe 2 different sets of strings tops. If that sound that you have is EXACTLY what you want then then you may have to put up with it.

Off to repairs and Tech....

The serial number is normallly an indicator to its origins and year of birth.... Other than that it dificult to say as there are soooo many variables wit Fender!
