Seems new might be to look at the Yamaha mentioned above.... Is it just a weigth issue or does it have to be a traditional design and lightweight? you dont really say? You wont get much lighter than a Hohner B2 (Steinberger copy) they next to nowt..... but are not everyones taste.....

Oddly enough no I cant at the moment, but I can assure you that it isnt shaped....

Cant really comment on the bass....but, my guitarist wanted an accoustic and he was torn between a Breedlove and the Carbon Adamas that he has now..... I belive that the only reason he got the carbon one was that he can tw4t me round the head with it and it'll stay in tune.... Actaully he said there's very little between them in tone but the carbon one won because he believed it would be more stable..... Now the carbon on is one of the most beautiful guitars I have heard (it gives me goosebumps when he plays it) and if the Breedlove was as good as that it must be pretty damn good! I dont know if that helps... buit thought it might. I shouldnt think many folks have a Breedlove bass!

Youre welcome... if we all buy one then they may lower thr price a bit.... I have 2 (I rarely take more than 2 out with me) and they sit in the car perfectly well. those pesky kids will have to try hard to damage your pide and joy in one of these!
That looks like a good case for what im looking for. Not seen one before. Do you know if it will take a P bass (im sure it will)?
DB, indeed it does..... even 5 string P bass..... I've not tried deiberatly dropping one of my basses in one yet but I'm sure they would be unscathed. EXCELLENT bit of kit!
Edited the original post. Apparently there was some confusion
Spoil sport.... it was fun while it lasted...... Anyhoo.... what I'd like to know is what is it that defines teh T-bird sound to you? Maybe if you investigate that you may come up with your own answer...eg I can make my PRSs sound like a P bass, but nothing sounds the same as a P bass.... -

It's hard trying to find a good 5-string...
The Burpster replied to Baseballfan1456's topic in Bass Guitars
If he's got £700 ($1500) he'll be buying a US std P bass 5string and he'll be a very happy Hector no doubt. And putting 400 bucks toward a growly amp.... -
Would like some advice on my second ever bass
The Burpster replied to BMoney's topic in Bass Guitars
You might want to check out some ESPs as well, they're pretty metal without being Gothic..... You may want to consider a custom build, if you have that budget available...... That being said alot of Metal bands still use Fenders! As for backline, if you want a "coughs" urrhummm Metal sound then either Marshall or GK. My opinion for what its worth -
Dolphin music normally have or can get loads ( I got my Ovation from them) but you'd need to check with their webby to find the shop with the most in stock.

Would like some advice on my second ever bass
The Burpster replied to BMoney's topic in Bass Guitars
The rude question has to be "what budget are we looking at here?" Theres no need to go mad, Fender Highway 1 P and J models are superb for the dosh... Ibanez make some stonkers around the 500 mark as do many more. Fenders may be butt ugly but I'll bet nearly everyone on here has owned one, does own one or wants one.... Leave a sensible amount for the amp as getting a cheap one is a false economy, (a bit like buying a Ferrari and putting Kwik fit remoulds on it!) Do some trawling around fleebay to get some ideas, just type in bass in teh search and put aside about a hour to go thru 'em all.... -
That’s right. - blame the bass / dog / whatever
I'm not quite sure I understand where you're coming from there.... I always thought that Satans farts would be the most growly thing imaginable..... What would I be blaming my bass for that when it is exactly what I want to do.... (well if it had wider fretboardit woud be EXACTLY what I want) Confused..... -

BBF I have PMd you too...! -
I use a Boss Micro Br and have used the Tascam CD BT. I would suggest you ahve a serious look at teh new Tascam MP3 or the Micro Br.... Top quality sound and you can load whatever you want to (MP3 wise) to jam along with.... I had a look at teh pocket rocket and I am quite sure that if you are a bit clumsy while playing sitting down and you have a jack socket on teh end of your basses (all of mine) you will break it. Thats why it got a vote of no confidence from me.

DN You cant go far wrong with these..... I'm very impressed with mine..... -
