3.
Nice page thing btw. anyways, i was looking at gettin meself a decent starter bass and saw a tanglewood rebel 4K, and was wondering if anyone knew if it was any good? thanks
PM ask this in your own thread in the main body of bass guitars..... Sadly I Have no experience of that bass---- others might tho'
4.
You've got enough basses Mr Silverfox
Aaaaaah but has Nik got any yet with that injection of special Burpster love....... Or even Beedster love for that matter....! PS Nik. wiat for the Fender project I'm doing.... I KNOW you'll like that!
5. I just know youre going to be happy together...... :brow:
6. Steve, They are really nice and very well made......! If you email Joerg he will do all sorts of yummies to an order.... Very pleasant too! :brow:
7. Technically anything denser than a piece of folded steel, should make a noticable difference. I firmly believe whilst a BA is better than the std folded Fender article there are better bridges than BA.... eg Schaller Gotoh Hipshot ABM.... I'm sure theres others..... for EASE of fitting and if you cant or wont take a drill to your body (bass not your belly button...!) Then a BA is a great option.... But as for being the Ultimate..... Errrrr non monsieur!
8. Nugget fill a bit more of your profile please..... I had a mate that was known as Nugget... That I've lost touch with! I got all excited for a minute.....
9.
and parrot stand!
Complete with Parrot poo!
10. Tried one, its very well made and sounds very nice. If you order new one you can have allsorts of yummies added or omitted..... I would have ordered one, however I am waiting to try the new P 5string which has a wider neck.....
11. Chris, I have 2 new saddles coming from JHS so I canget the intonation EXACTLY right (the E is 1.5cents sharpe) I have joined.... http://www.ovationfanclub.com Hooked? it would appear so..... Bob. PS even my guitarist loves it...... he's not sure why but he does!
12. Morning sir..... Funk and Blue grass eh? I'd prime the old girl that shes gonna be expanding her horizons slightly from the blues and and early rock and roll that she is used too! Actually I think she'll do well in both of those....
13. Greetings.... and welcome abroad (or should that be aboard.... ) !
14. Why dont you stick a piezo pup in it..... open up the holes and wire them as a H-bucker.... Sorted!
15.
Is that a confession?
I'll cough that if I had 4 1/2k to invest in a keeper piece I might consider it (along with an original 4000 Ric, a 60s P, an SRV strat) ..... But I dont, and infact the £1.5k investment bass may have to go soon..... I dont play it and like something that I can and will play!
16. .......it also sounds perfect with my buds Adamas.....! Hallelujah..... I've found the perfect accoustic.....
17. Seems someone else loves her too and wants to house her...
18. Hans..... Jeez isnt 5 enough..... You coudl do this with a Fender stacked pot/3 way switch...... I've just tried to find onne but cant so it may be a bit of a project .... The 3 poles of the switch could be 1. thru to 5 way selector (or bypass) 2. all 3 3. P-p-P I have one of these switched pots on my CS P..... do you want to look for one? Let me know if you struggle.... As for 7 way switches I am yet to see one but that doesnt mean it isnt out there..... I'll ask my guitarist tonite.... Bob.... PS you still pleased wit it?
19.
Warwickhunt. He lives in a castle, you know.
LMAO.....
20. While I agree that its not really a 'player' in a players world ; it does have a 'collectable' value to it..... and thats precisely who is likely to buy it.... Who would have known that 45 years ago a standard Fender P would be worth what, 10 000 times more than it cost new?
21. WoT..... Go on then who is the 0.000000000001% ....... Name and shame.....
22. Shame it hasnt got a Fender shaped headstock.... but teh name is great
23. If the center closing makes the Gallery stronger then all well and good AFAIC..... I did not feel at all welcome when I went in the BC, infact I felt like I was in the way! valued customer? they wouldnt know what one was if one hit them in the face! I get MUCH better service in my local shop in Lincoln (that sells a broad spectrum of guitars and drums inc basses) than I did in that ......so called specialist shop! In fact I was pretty undewhelmed by the whole of Tin pan alley..... I do appreciate this is only my opinion, however how on earth did they expcet to survive with completely uninterested uniteresting, staff?
24. Damn it, if that wasnt a skinny neck I'd have had that... its effing gorgeous! (or it would have been when ladled with bob love and tweaking!)
