1. Fatter = wider not deeper Thinner= the opposite. However is not quite that simplistic as there have thin neck Ps and twin PUP Ps and even active Ps. As a genearlism though Pluckies post aint far wrong. the P was teh 1st bass Leo desinged and mass produced (called Precision beacause it had frets, and prior to that [arguably] basses were fretless) 34" scale bass. Once used to the idea of playing bass horizontally, quite a few artists wanted tonal variation and a faster neck so Leo designed teh J with 2 pups a different shape body and a more slender and narrower neck.

6. They've started doing 4 screw (2 down each side) versions for retro fitting to other bases too.! very nearly got one for my H1 project but opted for an A version as I feel it maybe a bit too rad for some when I come to sell it.... HS bridges---- TOP quality. better that BA in my opinion!
7. As always OBBM has it on teh nail.... Just done the same with my Ovation.... 13yr old jack scoket popped and crackled when plugging in (even with a Nuetrik silent ) replaced it with shiny new one ---- Hey presto.... Awesomeness returned!
8.
I was looking at these before - is there anywhere else you can get them apart from ebay? They look perfect, but I'm I'd rather get them direct from a supplier rather than using ebay.
Yep... http://www.peliproducts.co.uk/ Be sat down tho' thy're f**king expensive! I have few smaller ones for shooting equipment. Tale of caution that a mate of mine (pro photographer) tells of Peli cases. They are more likely to 'go missing' because the handlers know ether is someting of value in them.
9. Slacken the strings right off, make sure the HSC is as airtight as possible- more to prevent ingress of moisture than air.... and get a 1/2 dozen packs of silica gel in the HSC to keep it as dry as poss. You should be ok.... Its not a massive long flight! Humdity is more of a problem than heat!
10. So how much you going up to? I'd probably go up to $1500 (all I could afford at the mo) but I bet its gonna go for a lot more than that!

14.
It's been around a while. Really don't like where the MM PUP is
Shouldn't it be nearer the bridge? (or do I mean wouldnt it be more effective nearer the bridge?)
15. I have a couple of pairs but find they get really stinky of you wear them day after day much more than other trainers... Washing machine soon sorts that out tho! And you're right they aren't anywhere near as good as they used to be!
16.
Then I drilled the hole out with a larger diameter bit and plugged with PVA'd dowel. It did a great job in the end but I wasn't that comfortable watching smoke coming out of the bass and I was sh*t scared I was going to poke the screw out the back of the bass.
As Steve said, you burn out the old broken screw. you then drill out a bigger hole and plug it with dowel. You can then drill a new hole! 5 screws is probably enough in reality!
17. Thanks guys.....
