Yeah, a bit awkwardly close to Tonehammer. Steamhamster would be awsome

I think they are branching out into cooking appliances:
They are revealing one letter a day on Facebook? They must think their customers haven't got a life.
Hah. I don't see many people actively going to their FB page to find out the next letter, rather it will pop up on the normal time line of subscribers (anyone who has 'liked' Glockenklang) on FB. It's a bit different to the average product launch in its creativity, so gets a thumbs up from me

Glockenklang are about to announce a new product. They are teasing us by revealing one letter per day on FB. So far we have: [IMG] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/FB_IMG_1481054942623_zpslsq65w6x.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> Anyone know about this new Steamhammer/hog/house/hacker?
Just about every dub and reggae band I've seen have had a bass player toting a Jazz bass. Which I find interesting given all those stories about them getting lost in the mix.
Playing dub often means playing with clean, sparse guitar and keys, very little competition for bass frequencies. IME many who complain of their Jazz getting lost in the mix have maxed out both pickups to get a scooped tone* This tone can get lost in a rocky context, but less so with dub/reggae. *I used to have a 2EQ Stingray when I was about 21. I permenantly maxed out the treble and bass EQs then wondered why I couldn't be heard in my band 😳

Marinus bought a bass from me, and it was a very smooth transaction with great communication and fast payment. I'd happily deal with him again.

What are you listening to right now?

Kate Tempest - Let them eat chaos It's one of the best albums I've heard for a very long time. Her poetry/lyrics and delivery are astounding, perfectly backed by a lo-first synth soundtrack. -

A bypass looper is great for this, as the signal is unaffected until you kick in the effects loop. Another advantage is that you can go from clean to a combination of pedals in one stomp.
-
If the Reidmar is like other EBS heads, you may not get that rip-your-fillings-out zingy treble that they can do (bright control) from the tweeterless Super Twin. A good thing IMO

Lewis bought a pedal from me in a swift deal with great communication. I'd happily deal with him again.

I've got to face the fact that I just don't get on with four string basses any more so up for sale goes my lovely W&T EJ4. This was born fretless but I had Jon Shuker put in some medium frets (as well as do a setup) last year, so the frets have virtually no wear. It's the EJ model, which, as you may guess, is W&T's take on the Jazz bass. This has a worn finish - not relic'd like it has been played to death, but more a kind of 'barn find' aged effect (I made that up) which I really love. Info as follows: - Alder body - 3 piece ash neck with angled maple headstock capped with some fancy wood - Tanzanian blackwood board with brass side markers - Brass Nut - Brass edge position markers - Hipshot Lollipop tuners - Mama P and J pups - East/W&T preamp which is basically an East P Retro blendable between both pups. Mains chargeable via jack socket (charger included). Active/Passive. - Ebony Control knobs The range of sounds is huge as you can imagine and it plays really nicely. Weight is 8.7lbs. This will come in a top quality Mono M80 semi-rigid case. I'd prefer a sale to a trade, but could always be tempted by a quality 5 string You are welcome to give it a try – I'm in Nottingham, not far from J26 of the M1 I can wrap it up safely and send it by courier it by courier to mainland UK for £20 If you are further away than that, please ask for a quote My feedback: http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2730811 I have these nice pics from before it was fretted. I'll take some fretted ones when I get a bit of decent light:
You've come this far and this is your first?? I had to laugh at the suggestion that CK's basslines are all too 'pedestrian' This one (officially credited to her) is as pedestrian as a caffinated meerkat in an earthquake: http://youtu.be/MlHMpOypzFg

Really sad. I saw her live a couple of times and she exuded energy and personality. RIP -
Anyone tried the HAZ labs one? I had it for a few years and absolutely loved it. Never tried an original one though

Finally got my new pedalboard together: [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/20161118_212851_zpstvlj0phi.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> Most of the time it's just Polytune Mini then straight in and out of the Loop Logic for clean signal. Loop 1 is OC2 > Dwarf Bitch (with 'Igor' Pressure pad) > Xerograph (with Hot Hand expression) Loop 2 is the Density Hulk That's my practice format. Live, the Density Hulk goes straight to the desk: [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/20161118_211330_zpsxmaudqr5.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> And slightly off topic, the siren effect, which I used to get with self oscillating Xerograph/LFO/Compressor, we now get with the Rigsmith RS1 (operated by keyboard player) very cool and much more versatile [Img] http://i1244.photobucket.com/albums/gg580/christopher_brown14/rackbags/20161118_212925_zpslawbykqu.jpg" class="ipsImage" />
