2.
https://www.youtube....h?v=vJE0_x8ug4s
I watched that whilst eating my tea - very restful, thank you.
 3. A pair of lovely UK-made Jaguar pickups removed from my Fender (to make room for a pair of humbuckers - sacrilege !). Good length of wire on both, complete with covers and combs. UK only, bank transfer much preferred. £75 incl postage. (oh look, upside-down again). It doesn't affect the tone.
 4. What sort of output and budget did you have in mind ?
 5. I used to love them, and I keep going back to them when they have some new material out but it doesn't do it for me like it used to. Nothing I've heard makes me feel they're adding to anything they've done before.
 6.
I see what you did there
If you were a gentleman you'd have averted your eyes.

 8.
I sort of get where your coming from. However.I think the opinions from Bass Chatters on this thread are unique, diverse and invaluable.
That's not what I'm saying, the content isn't my concern. What I am saying is that if you wish to discuss various bass playing ads then starting the same style of thread over and over isn't the best way to do it. Why not have one long thread ? The forum has many long-running threads on specific subjects, from the very technical to the funny. A longer thread may even improve the discourse as it lends itself to less segmented discussion. People can also subscribe to it. If serious discussion is your aim then I would suggest posting many similar threads isn't the way to do it.
 9.
There must be some newbies on bass chat where this type of discussion is useful, right? Blue
Well, there is a search function if people want to tap into the already-posted opinions. Creating topic after topic on the same subjects makes it harder to use that search function without simply turning up the same opinions from the same people, not a range of opinion which I'd venture is preferable. If you really want people to benefit from your knowledge, I'd shy away from repeatedly posting topics on the same subject. YMMV of course.
 10. Synth now, repent later.
 11. Sounds interesting, could you add the link please.
 12. Thanks for the tip. If I had the space...
 13. I'm going !

 15. Not to mention the neck dive Mwhahahahaha.
 16.
Ooft lets no start this topic again
Fair point.
 17.
That's my take as well. This way I can even skip bringing an amp/cab depending on the venue.
Very much - useful at practices too if you're using the place's amps.
 18.
You'd think they'd offer free shipping at that price...
Indeed. Is it worth almost a third of a million ? If somebody buys it at that price then yes it is. Let's not confuse worth (a value judgement) with price (a hopefully quantitative evaluation of the market)
 19. Tell the sound engineer what you want and see what they say ! I've played almost all my gigs in multi-band set-ups/kit share and have been faced with this situation many times. Tell the person with the XLR in their hand that you use the amp's overdrive and you'd rather be post-amp. I they insist on pre-amp, then....well, argue if you wish but I've found it best to be no hassle. I've ended up with a pedalboard that can give the PA a speaker-emulated signal from with all my FX included and use the on-stage amp as a monitor. The sound tech gets a good signal, I get a good FOH sound and I don't need to worry about what I play through. Oh, and it's not a stupid question - it's a fine line you have to tread sometimes between not making too much work and getting a sound your happy with.

 21.
I can either transpose the recorded notes an octave, or offset the note names in the drum map, or transpose them at source in the X50's settings - whichever turns out to cause me the least hassle when it comes to playback!
How about a midi transpose plug-in ?
 22. Well deserved. Non-bass-playing Mrs Pook saw this over my shoulder and agreed !

 24.
Do you think I can use the FTWS output to connect to interface?
FTWS ?
 25. I use one of these I'm not a fan of the digital amp sims I've heard and this is a simple, no-hassle solution. It may only have 3 'amp models' but it does a DI-ed guitar a lot more palatable to my ears. Works very well with overdrives and the like.
