2.
I use all styles at home but I use a pick only live.
aaah - you too ?
3. outstanding ! i love days like that - where you set a project to do. start with a builder's brekkie and lots of tea... good luck !!!!
4. here's my wonderful swr 2x12", that my even more wonderful girlfren bought for me for my birthday. it's been upgraded so something like 400w (the old memory goes now and again these days). it sounds incredible...and is very portable. fabby.
5.
Although this comes up all the time, I'll reply and say that a bassist should use all techniques depending on what is called for in each particular song.
plus the one. you do as you please.
6. i've not played many, but a passive westone comes to mind.
7. i bought simon's lovely jazz/precision hybrid. a lovely guy to deal with...kept me up to date all the way through and packed the bass really well. what can i say except thank you very muchly !!
8. the jazz pickup is (i assume) the one that was fitted when the bass was made... both of the original p-ups are unbranded. but you're right - i think a word with the wizrd may be in order.
9. thanks for the advice folks...the phasing on the D-G side of the precision pickup wrt the jazz had spung to mind. i wonder why this is a problem now when it wasn't before...the jazz pickup is the one that was originally in the bass. isn't a precision pickup just a precision pickup ?
10. i've replaced the precision pickup in my fender cowpoke with a wizard trad (great sounding pickup btw), and wired it all back together. it sounds fine with the blend control at either the full at the neck (precision) or bridge (jazz), but with the blend at 50:50, the side of the precision pickup that covers the D and G strings sounds out of phase with the bridge pickup. the side covering the E and A is fine. it's an active bass, but i've been over the pcb with a fine tooth comb and there's nowt amiss there. any ideas ?
11.
either red onion needs to improve its search ranking or I need to go on a course on how to use search engines properly. Ive been looking for a UK based company like that for ages!! 19. for sale, as to be honest my ampeg has plenty of valvey goodness for me, but it did do a good job of warming up the sound of my practice amp. it's in ok nick...a few scratches here, but works fine. comes with the recommended psu, which makes it quite a big parcel, so shall we say £65 delivered ? paypal's ok by me
20. i'd never reuse strings...they sound awful imho.
