2.
ugh, you shouldn't drink meths if it's full of dirt from your strings
but wouldn't you just absorb all the funk ?
  3. just to add the PS802 is a fantastic amp. i've been using one live for a number of years now and it always delivers the goods...and light too ! good luck with the sale.

    that's a lovely reissue.
  5.
See, this is what i don't understand --- not for everyone, sure, not everyone needs an octave effect. But it's there's one control! And the original signal is unaffected - just the octave beneath is added. My guess is, people overdo it....
plus the one on that. even when using a pedal, less is deffo more - so you could have a point there.

    Compressor advice
I bought an EBS MultiComp, and for the exta money, they are well worth the investment. Fantastic piece of kit, and next to my tuner and DI, it is the one pedal I could not possibly gig without.
i've got to add a plus the one to this. i've tried many pedal compressors and the ebs is the best - hands down.
  7. pics, as promised. the only real marks on the top is a little scratch above the output jack and some small nicks around the top edge
  8.
I thought it was "mud mode". Never could get it to work in a band situation... but some guys like that kinda splodgy sound.
enough of your comments about ashdowns in general...what do you think of the sub-harmonic thinger ?
  9. i'll take some and put them up. but it's past my bedtime, so it'll be tomoz !
  10. i've borrowed many a bass amp at gigs before (always by prior arrangement i must add !), but i still remember a sessionette 4x10 (prolly like the one you've your eye on) i played through in about 1990 as being one of the best-sounding. good luck !!!
  11.
Ampeg? Sounds like an overdriven SVT to me.
plus the one i reckon..with brand new strings
