3. this is an over-rated thread, since when has behringer been over-rated??
4. personally i dont think id ever spend upwards of £500 on a peavey bass of any sort have a look at toby pro's, shockwave off the forum may be selling a shuker 6 string for around £700 ish in the near future

How do I get this tone
LOL here we go gain... IMO The PD7 is the best you can buy for that kind of price. That's some PHAT, punchy, LOW-mid-rich distortion. I think you need to buy a bigger combo. Downsides are it kills the dynamics a bit (sounds overly compressed). The Distortion setting is very good, the Overdrive setting is ok but the Attack setting is useless. I think neither the PD7 or the ODB-3 lose low end. However, the ODB-3 ADDS high end, so maybe that's why people have that impression. But all this is irrelevant to the topic at hand, as I don't think you can get even closer to that tone with any of them...
we obviously have VERY different opinions when it comes to distortion, i think we should leave it at that! after having a more closer listen, i think im inclined to agree its a sansamp, but still think that the fact that its a p pickup is key to that tone
7. +1 for TNT and for Parceline DPD, sent and recieved with both of these couriers recently, latter via interparcel, and they were very quick and efficient, DPD delivered a bass minimal fuss to ireland very quickly
8. if thats a genuine musicman pickup, theres no way that was factory installed if not, then interesting, but too expensive
9. point is, you need to try them both, and make your own conclusions
10. indeed it is. and remember it has mullards in it, which would set you back a fair bit alone
11. suprised nobody has gone for this, i think its quite attractive bump
12. oof, an x blender, man i wish i still had my effects board to use with this
13. if i had a pound....
14. aye, not too bad a price, looks like a decent bass
15. flea can play both left handed and right handed, during the californication tour at one point he was playing a left handed modulus due to one of his hands f***ing up, id imagine the left afaik he is right handed
16. my feeling on the trex pedal exactly
17. the B2 and B2.1U are identical apart from the expression pedal. So if your not gunna use the pedal, then get the B2 stay away from the B1's, they aint the same quality
18. indeed, point is, i love the odb-3 and mxr blowtorch, if people dont agree with me, then simply say that you dont in your opinion, n thats just dandy start saying that i like bad tone, and il flame you like a bitch
19. what kinda of trades are you looking for?? im not interested in the bass, but it might help you you have been offered a shuker and declined that too, right?? its been up a while now, might help ya to say what your looking for
20.
as apposed to raping peoples ears with high end fizzle? to me it just seems like you like bad tone i'm sorry but thats the impression i get.
your knowledge of tone outstands me, all hail your opinion i'm sure that the chances are, some of the gear you like i will think is 'bad tone', whether or not it is is totally subjective. and fyi, the eq knob on pedals means you can adjust how much high or low end you get, thus turning down the high eq control on an odb-3 or a blowtorch will reduce 'high end fizzle', you'll go to bed a wiser man now but tbf if you dont know how to use a pedal as simple as an odb-3, its quite worrying
21. if you think that dude, id just stick to cranking your ampeg
22. i use my zoom b2.1u
23. 1x15 cabs/combos when used on their own, meh
24.
I tried the Blowtorch and hated it. Like and expensive ODB-3 if you ask me...
justify that. they are entirly different pedals, i mean seriously they are nothing at all alike, and i owned both for quite a long while
