1. sorry if i caused any offense by saying it wasnt my choice of finish, maybe i'm just picky seems a lovely bass mate, you have the facilities to make a few sound bites?
2. its not the body finish id choose, but i bet that neck is superb, as iv said, i think a 5 string vigier is the only bass that would tempt me away from my statusray, nice one mate
3. tbf the usual giveaway as to whether or not its genuine musicman is the jack, not many manufacturers that i know of have that kind of output jack with the black casing and pins, and they are pretty hard to replace if they break. so id say for sure thats real
4. thats alot of money for a low end bass!! sorry il get me coat....
5. plenty of pictures in the gear porn section, check out the 'sparkly stingray' thread and the musicman porn thread
6.
Hmmmm...... possibly not bad advice ! Especially with my track record of buying / selling basses Although with Stingray prices under pressure..... and the "Average" Ray going for around £700 on a good day, how much is there to lose ? What would a Status Necked Ray be worth.... ? I know Kiwi's went for a stupidly low £500 on here 18 months ago but surely it's got to be worth more than that ! Stingrayfan's lovely Black Status / Ray's gotta be worth min £550 ATB Mark
id never sell the neck with the stingray, always seperate as you lose too much cash, hence why its best to keep your neck, even more so since its a special edition. youl obviously lose any value you might have had by it being ltd. keep it mate, so you can restore your bass to original specs and get much more money back in the future. as i said, at least wait to see if your 100% happy with the carbon
7. be careful mate, i considered selling my stingray 5's original neck when i upgraded, but decided against it as it would seriously effect the value of the stingray. only sell it if your gunna keep the ray and its status neck, id at least wait until its all fitted and your happy with it. you'll lose alot of cash if you sell the stingray with the status neck in the future
8. i particularly like the look of it, and iv never been blown away by the tone of peaveys, i was only interested coz of the graphite neck, meh and yeah i am, why?
9. i bid on that peavey, but i aint paying over £300 for it, much as i want it

Synth pedals

bass synth wah is a glorified envelope filter, not a great synth sound at all really imo bms would be a decent choice i guess, try one though.
11. superb price, have a bump for a lovely stingray
12. apparantly these kick seven shades out of sadowskys, although i think in definatly need to try one for the prices they are. seems a nice looking bass
13. id get rid of the tobias if i were you, rather than this, do you really use the B enough to justify keeping it over this G&L??
14. BADASS bridge ftw, that looks fantastic spree
15. how does trying a piece of gear tell you what the market price is likely to be?? i monitor the second hand market alot when it comes to effects, having owned and sold so many myself in the past, iv never nor will i ever claim to be an 'expert on gear i havn't tried'. i just like to think that i have a pretty good idea on good prices in the second hand effects market, and id probably say this sold for a decent price, but by no means was it a bargain. sorry if iv caused offense
16. get a status neck for the ray, it just makes the bass crazy good
17. i want that bass. the lack of a 5th string is the only reason i didnt buy the one for sale on this forum weeks ago. consider me a watcher
18. bump looking at past ebay sales, my price is a bit cheap
19. great price, and a great pedal which works great for bass
20. good stuff, nice offer too, considering the last one on here went for £250 iirc man i miss mine..
21. whats the highest offer so far, just so we know were its at?? you dont have to say whos offer it is, but i think for the benefit of potential offerers it should be known
22. your very, very lucky for getting that at the price you did...

am i missing something?? i thought warwick custom shop models were worth thousands??
24.
It feels smaller to me - it's definitely less chunky nearer the nut, which I like. I chose to have it fitted for the feel of graphite more than the sound. I love the smoothness of it. Found my old SR neck a bit too chunky and coarse. This allows you to play really fast. Just plugged it in through my Trace Elliot combo and it sounds like a SR on steroids now. Will have to gig it to get a proper feel for what its like loud but it's might be a wild beast to tame!
yes yes that is exactlyyyyyyyyy how it sounds, brilliant by the way, other great advantages your about to discover include only having to tune your bass when you change strings (the neck doesnt budge), and you dont have to worry about adjusting intonation in the summer or winter months (graphite is not effected by temperature changes)
