  1. Good morning, PJC, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  2. You do, indeed, need to put the speaker in a box. It may sound good like that, but it will sound so much better in a box, and it'll damage itself if you use it much in the open like that. (How do I know..? Don't ask..! I, too, was young, foolish, unexperienced and broke, once...). Once you get a box, the important part is to make sure that there's a good, airtight seal between the rim of the speaker and the box, and the the speaker is securely bolted to the box. You can try an experiment, whilst waiting. Find a stout cardboard box, of any reasonable size (roughly a 30 cm cube or so; it's not critical...). Cut a hole in one face, perfectly round, and just the size for the speaker to nestle into, supported by its rim. Feed the cable through the back of the box, and listen to the difference when the speaker is firmly in the hole, and when it's lifted out. It should be quite conclusive. Worth a try..?
  3. The 'standard' way of using it would be to plug the Output Left/Mono into the input of the amp. Fx Send and Return are for adding further Fx. Leave that for now, and just use the Mono Output.
  4. But the cost of running one's business can be worked into one' s selling price. T'would have to be the same price, card or cash, of course.
  5. I've no proof, but I could imagine that some courriers and their insurance covers had claims of 'it arrived broken' when in fact it was already broken when sent. Was there not a flurry of bogus 'whiplash' claims a while back..? Maybe the System has been abused too many times by the unscrupulous few..?
  6. Good evening, Sam, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  7. To be Franck, I hadn't thought of that aspect; sorry.
  8. On a Haydn to nothing, in my view.
  9. Micron..? Thou..? Mil..? Tad..? Gnat's wotsit..?
  10. A millimetre or so deviation at that spot would make one heck of a difference to the neck angle, as far as the string is concerned. Probably visible to an experienced eye, and quite certainly a contributing factor in your 'buzzing' issues. It needs sorting, especially as the whole idea of the exercise was to get a better neck/body join..!
  11. Good afternoon, Binuche, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  12. Good afternoon, Bassosaku , and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  13. No problem, as long as they pay the hire cost for the one they've been testing..!
  14. OK, I'll go with the current dimensions. I'll still be needing those home addresses, of course. In your own time.
  15. @Maude, @Rich ... Here's a couple of very bad photos, hot from the press. I'll need a check on the dimensions; I've marked one photo with a specific distance. I can alter this to any other (not, not six miles, you fool, stop it, Jack ...); different sizes for a multi-print are no problem either. Once I get confirmation I'll go ahead and print some off. Could you please PM your postal addresses, so that I may send the bailiffs the Cray Twins the results..? Does anybody want 'em painted, or at least prepared for painting..? I have airbrush stuff for primer and the like, if it helps.
  16. We'd rather have posts directly relating to this topic; discussion on the workings of other social media platforms may continue in another topic, but not here. Thanks again.
  17. To keep this topic readable, please can we just: Keep to reported facts and updates about case progression. Thank you.
  18. The plug-in being lauded is part of the Presonus Studio One Artist or Pro packages. Oddly enough, it's featured on a Presonus blog page..! I've no doubt that it's a decent enough Fx, but it's only available if using one of these two packages. Just sayin', that's all.
  19. Fixed.
  20. Just a memory refresh, for the very old... When It Was Illegal To Buy American Guitars In The UK ... Things change, and folks adapt to those changes. Sometimes the pendulum swings one way, then, later on, swings back, or somewhere else entirely. This is a transition period. History will be written about it in another few decade's time. It's too soon to know how it'll pan out.
  21. Good afternoon, Tegs, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  22. Yes, it's still good (posted here end of 2018, and maybe before then...)
  23. Good evening, Jean-Luc, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
