    The colours look a bit washed out in places - another coat probably won't make it any darker - just more solid and uniform(if that makes sense).

    When you say " a bit less money" if it isn't a significant amount (which, being a Yamaha, it probably isn't) why would you not go for the upgraded model?

    Been there...bought several basses that were filthy - sellers see no problem with that...disgusting!

    Back on topic - I like it, at least it has a bit of character. I have a ton of vinyl which I don't play and a Dual deck which doesn't get used. Not because I don't appreciate the sound, because Vinyl is fragile compared to CDs. My only reason.

    After giving my clip on tuner to my neighbour who is learning to play guitar I posted a "Wanted" ad for a clip on tuner. Nick responded within an hour offering me one....I was expecting one of those cheap, Chinese tuners which you see for 99p but no, Nick sent me a Boss TU-10. Better than the one I gave away. This is the sort of thing that happens with the hard core members here - forever coming to each other's rescue. Nick is a proper gent. Trade with confidence. I'll need to return the favour and find the Baritone sax reeds I have for him - the dreaded "in a safe place".

    Agree, nice basses... I don't know @Roadybus so I'll take your word for it... I think the seller is going to have sellers remorse though.

    Loved these since I saw Nick Smith demonstrating them at LBGS. So much so that I had the pickups installed in my Silk Bass. GLWTS.
