1. I've had (and have) the good fortune to work with many incredible musicians, some classically trained - the type of people so talented that, as someone who has yet managed to commit the names of the notes to memory, can reduce me to tears. And to a man jack of 'em they will not learn ANYTHING! I wonder sometimes why they even bothered to get so good.
2. Always thought the Electric Boys had a few more LPs in them.
3. Just spitballin' , but if it's cheap you're after could the offending signal not be sent into a cheap DI box and use the BAL OUT into your mixer? Probably just waved a flag over my stupidity, mind!

UM BONGO

According to recent studies (despite many years of contrary reports) they do not in fact, drink it in the Congo.
5. Another one! Damned comparable instruments as it turns out. Who knew? (apart from probably everyone.)
6. Or simply play a lot of gigs in North Wales, where sweating is not an option. (and as for 'hair product' getting on strings, I have a great way round that, too!)
7.
Ultimately it comes down to who you know. If you buy from / sell to a Basschat newbie with 37 posts then there's not much point expecting anyone to be "community minded".
I think it took me about 4 years to get up to 37 posts. (yay...another one!)
8.
There's a couple of folk like that your way. One in leith and the other a big taxi driver from falkirk. Sold him a Warwick SS2 ages back, "too battered" for me mate, then kept trying to haggle via text. Told him to piss off. Came back the next day and paid the price I wanted. Up on eBay for £500 more within a week "selling my dream bass, played lots of gigs on it" (he couldn't play mind you) What was mildly satisfying though when it went for less than he paid me for it.
I can't play the bass either, but I don't let that stop me gigging.
9. I've never seen such a thing, I'd probably go for the straight one into something along these lines. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-35mm-MONO-Jack-Male-Plug-to-Female-Socket-Right-Angle-Adapter-90-Degrees-1-4-/361613820199
10.
Blimey, so there is somebody else who has the album. I just haven't got a clue man!
Absolute bestest version of Song to the Siren EVER on there. The second LP's worth a listen , too, although it doesn't seem to have the cheekiness of Gravelands.
11.
Oh no, if she'll so easily drop her pickguard for a stranger I'm not sure I want her anymore. Lol
And after a lengthy discussion about posting naked selfies on the internet, too!
12. Don't say I ain't good to ya - especially under oath!
13. The second of two fivers I have up, (when one sells I'll keep the other) There's been quite a bit of Squier VM P5 (Precision V?) forum traffic lately, so the search thingy will tell you much more than I can. I've done a handful of gigs with this one, and apart from 'I like it' what's there to say about a P bass with flats on? It thumps with fingers, it growls with a pick, it just IS. Burst, fakey Tort and a shiny Maple board. (noice!) Price includes UK postage.
14. Now I've finally got some sense out of my PC (thanks Windows updates) here 'tis. On account of only having the 2 hands I had to play a recording through the pedal. It reacts to plucking strength, so this doesn't capture any of that. https://soundcloud.com/user-176768746/bb1x
15. Quite happy to record the BB-1X on flats if anyone's interested. Don't own a fretless, though.
16. If it's a pre-amp type DI then eating batteries sounds about right, I've had a couple that were the same. I've no experience of the Hartke, however, so [s]could well be[/s] very probably wrong.
17. If you've ever read anything on this forum, you know all about these - we like 'em round here y'know! This one's had the tuners changed at some point in its life, the ones on it are a fair bit smaller than the originals (so one would assume lighter) though they still seem to be a Gotoh-style design. (with the little Allen bolt in the bottom) They work just as well as the ones on my 415. Our model is currently wearing some rather daring little flatwound numbers by Fender. Schmooove. Other than that, here's a very tidy and damned playable 424. If it were a 425X I'd probably keep it. Price includes postage.
18. I have a BB415 and a BTB675. I'm sure I must have tuned them when I put the strings on. So stable. then!
19. I put a set of phozzy-bronzes on my old Peavey for a while just to use them up as I'd sold my acoustic. Sounded bright as ferk! Other than that they won't last long and your fingers will go green. Good enough for The Ox, mind! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dlN55SoF4Q
20.
Welsh Cakes.
This.
