1. So dont you ever need to tweak your trem or Fuzzrocious shizzle? Great work BTW! Looks fab! You need to get some neon underlights and sh*t on there though. It's nowhere near tacky enough given how much firepower you got on there! Truckstop
2. Dont care! I'd gladly drive halfway across the country to pick that up! Truckstop
3. Gorgeous! Wish I had the cash Truckstop
4. Are these expression pedal compatible? I like te idea of getting rid of my fuzzes, synths and octaves and just having a dedicated synth pedal instead. Cheers for any info! Alex
5. sh*t me! A great deal! Truckstop
6. Well the thing with the ODB-3 (I assume that's what you're using?) is that it has a 'fizz' to it that some people like and some people dont. I imagine with the Compressor set the way you have it, it's picking up those higher frequency characteristics. Just experiment with the settings on the ODB-3 I guess? Or maybe experiment with different overdrives to try to get a sound that you're happy with. Dont forget, effects need to work for you. You shouldnt have to compromise your sound or your playing to accomodate characteristics of various pedals. If its not working for you, move it on! Truckstop
7. I like 4x10s because they look good on a stage. I think it's silly to say I like them because they have a particular sound because they don't. But yeah they're a bit heavy and awkward most of the time innit? Truckstop
8. I rate the Marshall Guv'Nor 2. Small, cheap, well built and capable of real filth. Also very flexible with Bass, Mid, Treble and 'Deep' knobs. Obviously Gain and Volume too. There's a few on here that also bloody f***ing love the Jackhammer too! Which is even cheaper! Truckstop
9. Is this a variation on the John Petrucci signature? I'm sure I've seen Petrucci use a very similar guitar on a Dream Theatre video or something? Anyway, good luck with the sale, looks wick! Truckstop
10. See if you can borrow a tone shaping pedal such as a BDI-21, Sansamp, Bass Xciter, Bass Attack etc. They can really give your tone extra presence in a band setting. Another thing; maybe ask if your band could play a little quieter? If you're maxing out a Tour 450, you're very loud indeed!! Truckstop
11. Coooool! Competition entered btw. Always wanted to try a set of PSD's but never had the guts to buy any! Truckstop
12. Sounds like a thoroughly lovely chap! Kaley Cuoco is also an excellent choice. Truckstop
13. Ooh, I'd love to be endorsed by 80's Ibanez and LaBella. Also Cadburys. Truckstop
14. You can edit them to show nothing (ie delete all the text) but you won't be able to actually delete the post. The edit icon is in the bottom right of the post. Truckstop
15. Such a gorgeous shape! I much prefer the LG shape over the Century. Can't wait to see some pics once it's finished! Truckstop
16. sh*t me, 2000ma and supplies to 11 pedals for $40?! Truckstop Edit: they're £14.99 at DV247 so just bought a couple. Can't believe I've never heard of them before!
17. That's the thing, they sound amazing on their own but not particularly useful in a band setting! Hope it works for you! Truckstop
18. I found it a little muddy to and then I maxed out the town control on my basses and it sounds great. That little bit of treble sparkle seeps through and really adds that extra bit of definition when playing with the band. Another trick is to leave the blend control at about 2 o'clock. Truckstop
19. Very cool! I always say to anyone that'll listen that the Gigrig Gernerator is the best power supply on the Market. The isolator just makes the deal even sweeter! Truckstop
20. +1 This is a well accurate, well made tuner. I've had mine for 6 years and never missed a beat! Admittedly probably not as robust as a Boss, but it's not as if you chuck em about all over the place is it? Truckstop
21.
I'd love to hear Mudvayne played on a Blazer
Tell you what, the roadster is actually pretty close to his lovely burpy tone! For me, Twiggy's always been the encapsulation of 'less is more'. Truckstop
22. I just leave it on the amp and buy a longer cable for it so I can walk around the stage Truckstop
23. Absolutely. The recent love that Ryan Martinie's been getting over the last few weeks has made me realise that I borrow a lot of his phrases and sense of timing when I fill and write riffs. I also find myself thinking that his tone on LD50 is the reference point from where I think about otheer bass tones, particularly mine! Its weird how stuff like that stays with you over the years; I last played along to Mudvayne nearly 8 years ago I reckon! Truckstop
24. Four technically! I bet the Pod XT has a pretty nifty filter! But yeah, well smart! Truckstop
25. I swear by Marshall effects. They're well made, small footprint, quiet, cheap, look cool, easy to use and have many features associated with higher cost units like tap tempo inputs for delay, expression inputs for chorus and blending. Love my Guv'nor 2, I use it for a subtle overdrive in my rig. Sounds nice and smooth and compressed (whether that's good or not, who knows but it works for me). Try one! Truckstop
