  1. I use Rotosound 88's nylon flats. Nice and floppy. Truckstop
  2. Wishing Well's an amazing song! I thought my band was the only band that did it! Truckstop
  3. SSSOOOLLLlDDDDD!!!!!!
  4. Probably a little switchcleaner would sort it out. Or maybe replace the switch? I'm really not sure. I'm terrified of poking about in fx! These cost best part of £100 new after import tax etc so I think it's priced to sell even with the click. Alex
  5. All the kings men and all the kings horses...
  6. SOOOOLLLLDDDD!!!!! Cheers Alex
  7. Hello all, Im moving on my Master Blaster. This provides a clean boost of up to 9dB while also offering a tiny amount of tone shaping. Especially useful for solo passages etc. The footswitch has developed a little 'click' when pressed. Annoying while practicing, totally inaudible in a live setting. Looks in good nick, a few scratches here and there. No damage, no mods. Power comes from 9v power supply only, no batteries unfortunately. It'll come unboxed but very well protected from the rigours of the postal service. Payment by bank transfer, pingit or cash on collection. No offers or trades please Cheers Alex
  8. Hello all, I have for sale my trusty Yamaha NE-1 Parametric EQ doodad. Works as an 'always on' bit of gear. I liken it to a sort of compressor that tidies up your peaks and troughs and you can adjust it to work on certain frequencies. Invaluable for quickly switching from a thumpy motown tone to a slap tone. Works on 9v batteries only. It's in good nick, only a few scratches here and there. It's been an integral part of my set-up for a long time so its been all over the country a couple of times! It'll come boxed and with a spare 9v battery. Payment by bank transfer, barclays pingit or cash on collection only. No offers or trades please. Cheers Alex
  9. Hello all, Selling my Fender Volume pedal. It's a bit grubby on account of my using it constantly for the last 2 years on my pedalboards. Still works great, but the volume function on my GTB-6 works fine and I just dont need this anymore! This has a quite a weighty feel to it so you can be real accurate when using it for swells and stuff, excellent build quality and a professional bit of gear. Got some residue of sticky stuff on the bottom where I used to have velcro on it. This'll come boxed with it's velvet bag. Payment by bank transfer, barclays pingit or cash on collection. No offers and no trades please. Cheers Alex
  10. Hello all, The arrival of a Boss GTB-6 has meant that this is just sitting around not getting any use at all. The ME-20b is a great tool for any bassist in any situation; easy to use, great sounds, easy to edit and create patches as well as being nice and small. The wah/volume has a nice subtle sweep and is optical so it won't wear out after lots of use. A few marks here and there but nothing I'd call 'damage'. It's been gigged a bit, but has mainly been used in the house. A great introduction into multi-fx and effects in general. For an extra fiver, I'll chuck in a power supply. This comes boxed and with instructions. Collection is possible; i'll knock a fiver off. Payment by bank transfer, barclays pingit or cash on collection. No trades except for a double gigbag. Cheers Alex
  11. Well sampling's always been a massive part of hip-hop and will continue to be in the future. I see no problems with it; I consider it to be an homage to the original artist! Fatboy Slim does it all the time innit! Truckstop
  12. Wow, so Mouth are pretty intense!! At this point, must thank Shep for exposing me to music that otherwise would have completely passed me by! Cheers! Truckstop
  13. My band have taken to doing Monkey Wrench and Times Like These in a slower bluesy manner. Otherwise they're just too fast, loudessy for a pub covers band IMO Truckstop
  14. Gallien Kreuger = awesome
  15. I wanna know what love is - Foreigner I'd do anything for love (but I won't do that) - Meatloaf Don't stop believing - Journey Festering in the Crypt - Cannibal Corpse Luckily my band has a great female singer; we get to do Bonnie Tyler and Tina Turner! Truckstop

Oli bought my broken old GEM amp off me a while back and then I bought it back of him after he'd spent a lot of time fixing it and restoring it to it's previous glory! Done a great job adding a little mod a wanted done and was very accommodating and kept me up to speed with his progress. Would not hesitate to deal with Oli again! Alex
  17. Electro Harmonix Octave Multiplexer tracks very well down to A, and depending on the EQ I'm using can go down to G. Has a very synthy sound though. Sometimes I prefer to use the octave on my Boss GTB-6 because it's a lot smoother. Truckstop
  18. I'm thinking it's the head. You need lots of power/headroom to reproduce huge lows, right? I've always used fairly underpowered heads in my time (300-350w) and the second I bought my PF500 and ran it at 4ohms, I was amazed at how clear and how loud the bass frequencies were. Same cab though. But of course it could be a mix of a million things. The room, the stage, where the cab was positioned, where the band was in relation to the cab etc etc Ha ha "mek the bass more round man". I like that. Truckstop
  19. These are so much nicer in sunburst than natural. Really classy! Bump, good luck with the sale! Truckstop
  20. Yep, people often forget just how good sounding, well made and flexible Ibanez pedals can be. I'm just waiting until they build an up to date multi-fx. Truckstop
