  1. Someone's bitsa. Lots of work for little return, in my opinion. But it might be useful if you wanted a test rig. Or a way to distract yourself from something pretty serious - trying to get the wiring right would take me months. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335623927661?itmmeta=01JAGZHVKT3YP1DSHPSSKXVR5A&hash=item4e24beb76d:g:xHMAAOSwCNhnEXIW&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4Mxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29iM7VO2hZuLJ3Urgf0AV%2BhVoQBuANFcXzBqegu9ad8Sm%2FFsTALLQEWVZNcbLHBDfGW7SwED01EHfWWoa7X1cCCh%2FjOLi5F5rMlkSB29o56qisGMW1D5wFtXwkvH3JC6TLETjpUjHhZUORR9kR0h4WRYEsYnUNcsxWchpvw%2B5VnlV6VzU%2B%2F0KpsXc88qMM1sZWeexPHUfSPfmBAeeMxktKQ7ndGPBYVsKQjIciOq77LGEqJ5xVGUY3GVSeBcd0HbD8%2BUO0Jpcc2qxuqd2G50fxBN|tkp%3ABk9SR_65x5_UZA

I bought straplocks from Stu. All went well, quick and straightforward. I'd be happy to trade with him again. Thanks Stu.
  3. The red dots put me off quite a lot. Shame, it looks like an absolute beast.
  4. I bought a Kindle from Chris. All good, a nice clean quick transaction with no issues. I'd be pleased to trade with him again. Thanks Chris
  5. I see what you did there
  6. Don't know. Most strings I buy are second-hand, so it's impossible to tell.
  7. I bought a strap from Andy. All went well and I'd be happy to deal with him again. Thanks Andy!
  8. I bought a sixer bridge from Michael. Very quick, sensible packing. This is the second time I've dealt with him and I'd be pleased to trade again. Cheers!
  9. Mike sold me a Harley Benton fretless. A nice simple prompt transaction. I'd be pleased to deal with him again. Thanks Mike.
  10. Somebody saw the word "axe" used to describe a guitar, and took it way too literally.
  11. Thanks John. Unfortunately I can't play mandolin; I was wondering about it as a gift for my bandmate - he's just retired (so I'd have an excuse :) ) and his existing mandolin is a nasty piece of tat which won't stay in tune (and has no pickup so has to be recorded with a microphone). As usual I'm trying to solve my problems by spending money on them
  12. Ah OK. That makes sense given the date; LEDs were still a bit flaky then, IIRC.
  13. Tell me you know nothing about bass guitarists without telling me you know nothing about bass guitarists... (Spoiler: It's not colossally interesting.) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/135236039699?itmmeta=01J79Z326DXM6CVNXRCB3G16TH&hash=item1f7cb23413:g:GQYAAOSweFBm3MKx&amdata=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4Mxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29hG9Q9ZofH%2Bmrfz%2FzVi2dRN4EmqHlzs8NY%2BFNNTxMf2dJu66MBZ%2BpBfo%2FMrB8zKS7My5E1KjgSZtnHsqkCftdY2H4trbife6L9yl%2FnU5j8JaFvzVQ%2B5X4IQoBpK5iSP0uHGGSh5jWlTqPWIHjFp%2FgjHoVt0w5sW4VCU66pzRP7jXYTzbgMlst9dEBWxd7hEJjZ8BGzxPOlOjDfJVA0k5iniup68WIyET9XLgJR7%2BdoGzVj%2Fft9bHfpVjh7wvl8RVk7ofzqHRp9X4HvG5bM%2BS%2Bp5|tkp%3ABk9SR6SjjL-6ZA
  14. I don't know about the reliability of the preamps, but the battery covers on the active ones seem to fall off if you look at the things cross-eyed... obviously not an issue on this one. GLWYS!
  15. "Rare", it says... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235727598454?itmmeta=01J6WFHEKWR0D2E68XEV9HEJSM&hash=item36e275b376:g:vHEAAOSwDXZm10Xl&amdata=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4Mxmj%2BiGvOveHXEBClPb29jbBwRXl%2B14IxHiOZLU85SqGzCYIkxSxYcsxhzxmii2pB3bAdOyhWyx3HzN4wN9gBgUtPc9vJpYz4AyRKMfKZfDhjiXCqcsegj28%2FBp73FrreyR00hdJf1ooiIiiQzvow0vN%2Fgrp5ll7qr7cyetJwWuJY4ooFaeFVFey0Z54VGAmacXnpYaGAbSkFN674iQ%2BwCPZohoG4Onx7wCcWI3N8BYTcCFoHN2hQdKghvZJPvZOu%2BeMNpNgpXtnYMM7FJ7xCmpYB8cnEKqWGQZ%2BoWhOPST|tkp%3ABk9SR4DqxY-3ZA
  16. Nice. I wish I had the space (and the talent!). GLWTS!
  17. I bought a neck from Neil. Well described, good comms, thoughtfully packaged, quick delivery. I'd be happy to deal with Neil again. Thanks Neil
  18. Fretted, fortunately for me... GLWYS!
  19. 'Silver Machine'. (Caveat: I know no Hawkwind after PXR5.)
  20. But you'd have a spare set afterwards
