  1. Only if you had one. Or maybe he's got a bee in his bonnet about his version being better than theirs?
  2. Not implied, I hope. Good luck, and hope you feel better soon.
  3. Interesting... this is a four-string version of the five-string fretless Thomann were selling as a Harley Benton HBZ-6000 (I think). And the headstock looks very Peavey. I have the fiver, I love it to bits.
  4. I bought a pickup from Alex. Quick turnround, well packaged. I'd be happy to deal with him again. Thanks
  5. How loud is it? Does it compete with an acoustic guitar?
  6. I think it might be heavy... the buyer would have to be an athlete.
  7. I had one of those for a while. (Not in the 80s, mind.)
  8. It's the only music station I listen to. (Well, apart from the Radio 2 Folk Show Presented by... yup. Mark Radcliffe.) I don't like Craig Charles much, TBH. Music's fine, I just find him annoying.
  9. There's no need to make a whole meal of it... tut tut.
  10. Tempting. What does it sound like? I guess it's a piezo pickup?
  11. Aesthetically I don't mind that, though I think it's not priced to sell. I quite like the headstock, much better than a lot of the pointy ones. It's probably more comfortable than it looks. It does look a bit like a crumpled envelope though. Looks like a P pickup in a bespoke housing.
  12. Looks: 3/10. Bridge: double saddles. 4/10. Ergonomics: Can't play it sitting down. According to the seller it doesn't dive. 4/10. I'm definitely plumping for the "weird" camp, myself.
  13. Thanks, that's exacttly what I wanted to know.
  14. Does it have side dots? If it does, are they on the "fret positions", or between them? Thanks.
  15. Wow.... I am so tempted to try to arrange a visit... I really, really want to know what that sounds like.
  16. I doubt it will wear well. But until then... (I think it's hideous, actually.) https://reverb.com/uk/item/64452353-epiphone-jack-casady-mid-00s-black-custom-gold-fretless
  17. Interesting definition of "buttercream", too. At least if my hasty search against "fender buttercream" is anything to go by.
  18. Mmmm. Tempting, not least because I have a fretless one. I'll have a think.
