    The ashtray doesn't bother me really. I've left it on my P. The pickup cover I have no use for whatsoever....and as for the screws, you need a check up if you leave them in.

    I keep coming back to this fabulous looking bass, just cos it's awesome really and it is the 5 string black version of my 4 string white. I've not played it obviously, but I'd lay a fair amount of money it's an absolute beast of a bass. The only thing that's stopping me is that, as age creeps on, my hands aren't what they were. My go to 5 is a custom shorter scale which I am fully synced with. If I was 10 years younger, I would have snapped this beauty up. In fact, I can't really understand why it hasn't sold yet. GLWTS @Papabull.

    As I mentioned before, the clips I've seen of him recently do seem to indicate a cognitive issue. He really does seem lost at times. Really feel for him. It makes me think of Brian Wilson and all those we've seen before pushing the envelope when time should already have been called.

    Just watched the BBC thing. Very enjoyable. I was a but disappointed that my favourite ELO tune wasn't featured. Imagine my shock when I interrogated setlist.fm and discovered that Jeff Lynne's ELO have never performed it!

    I've seen a few videos from recent shows and Jeff cuts quite a sad figure, not being able to play guitar. He also seems a bit lost in front of the mic at times. I'm not sure that's the way he would want to end his live career, but I guess there's quite a bit of money involved so cancellation would a last resort. Such a shame as I love ELO and Jeff bringing the music back after such a long absence was a wonderful thing. Wishing him and the band all the best.

    Hey guys. Genuine question (and I may be misunderstanding something somewhere)….everywhere else seems to be selling the standard version at £3799. How can you undercut by £300. That’s quite a chunk on a bass that has just been released.
