Pedal cable

Or you can use a solid connector... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mooer-PCC-Column-Pedal-Connector-/131789397214 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-4-JACK-JACK-CONNECTOR-EFFECT-PEDAL-PATCH-CABLE-LEAD-/122389250706 just search for pedal connector.. Work really well if power is on the top of the pedal, can be a bit cramped if power on the side...

Dingwalls

I just sold an active ABZ5 although it went within 24 hours for the asking price..
4. Also the nordstrand np4. The five string version in my Bob glaub lakland P5 is immense
5. Saw him at the Stables a couple of years ago - he used UK guys and they did not seem to hook up.. The sound was poorly mixed as well...
6. Dingwalls have a comparitively short reach to the first fret compared with my other 5 string basses .
7. Just curious - why the requirement for 21/22 frets ?
8.
Ibanez Soundgears tick all boxes except for the 35". Look for earlier Prestige models that were produced in Japan or Korea. SR1006, 1305, 3005, 5005 comes to my mind. Great sounding basses with nice ergonomics. Also Spector Euro5' should be considered, 17,5mm spacing , 35" and modern, cutting through sound. Ergonomics are great, too, but you should try one before buying.
These are all 24 fret i think ?
9.
That's good. Is it suitable for a body?
It's a bit like a giant acoustic guitar top - here's a steinway one being made...It pretty much the same size as the frame..You'd need to laminate it... However cracked soundboards are one of the main reasons grand pianos are sold as scrap..
10.
Old pianos may be made of solid wood, but there's no knowing what species that might be. One thing you can be sure of is the veneer may be walnut, but the frame wood won't be. A piano's sound comes from the frame (usually metal) and the strings. There isn't much of a "tonewood" discussion in piano circles. So the wood covering is mainly aesthetics. So it won't be too solid.
Actually the soundboard is a critical element of a pianos sound and is made of wood.
11. Basschat newbie, sent me a bunch of money in a very trusting way. :-) great guy, recommended ..
12.
That really doesn't make any sense - no band of any genre is going to be attractive to those who don't really care for gigging, is it?
Irony :-) from an American no less :-)
13. One of the few singlecuts I like the look of... GLWTS..
14.
How, as a bass player, would you suggest one 'engages with the crowds'? The closest I get is prolonged eye to eye contact with a chosen audience member, making myself available for autographs and inviting the pretty girls to the aftershow party.....what more should I be doing?
Use Derek Smalls as your model :-)

16. No one has ever asked me.. Possibly because they've heard me play and sing
17. Bought a job lot of cables from Simon.. No muss, no fuss.. Recommended...
18. Alto TS2xx are great for the money - which Yamahas were you thinking about? I'm not a fan of the Yamaha DBR's, the DXR's are pretty damn good, and the DSR's are expensive, but great.. What is your budget?
19. Every time I see this thread I keep thinking of the wide mouthed frog joke.. Is it just me?
20. She's a little too whoopy whoop for me, great technique but leaves me cold.. Eva Cassidy however........ Goosebumps every time..
21.
Just quit a band because the band leader didn't drive and has the PA. So he expected me "being the closest to him" to drive to his, pick him and the PA up (which was 30 mins drive from mine) and then go to the gig/rehearsal and then the same on the way back. I did it a few times but when it became and expectation with no petrol money contributions and the "I'll have another pint" while I'm waiting to leave, it got too much. One particular gig I had to drive 30 mins to pick him up and then 35 mins to the gig but it would've only taken 20 mins from mine to the gig. I don't think I even got a thank you for that one...
But you're the bass player, we're supposed to put up with this sh*t Sounds like you've acquired a few airs and graces Mr "too big for your own boots". I would have done the same.. How did he cope before you joined the band?
22. Bought an MP75 from Tim, no muss, no fuss. Recommended..
23. Bought a set of strings from Jon, no muss, no fuss - recommended...
