1. Hi Stu, It's pretty sturdy stuff, so yes....
Hi. Do you think the construction of that Citronic case would withstand drilling a bunch of holes in the side? Got an SVT4Pro which vents at the side. Cheers Stu
2. Double the SPL which is measured in dB... ?It's logarithmic so doubling would take 90dB (loudish school disco) to 180dB which would disintegrate buildings.
 3.
Edited as I was confused doi! As I still understand double the same speakers at Max displacement is double the loudness?
Nope. Still 3 dB... :-)
 4. Dual 12AX7 tube goodness tone monster... Recently serviced by Dave Hall so in top notch condition. Photos here https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6oFnWtRjlTpS044dG1KcUNhNXc?usp=sharing Needs a 12V DC centre positive power supply.. Price posted in the UK without power supply £85 Price with 12V 3A power supply.. £95.
 5. I destring my basses and then soak the strings in Acetone for about 30 minutes..
 6.
I'm sure I read that to double your volume, a perceived +3dB, assuming you are are running at Max displacement of your current gear. You either have to double your cabbage. So adding another of the same speaker. Or you can add 10x the power. So a 100 watt amp would need to be a 1000watt amp. By that understanding having half the power wouldn't make it half as loud, even more so with more speakers.
Doubling volume is +10dB... Doubling power is +3dB...

 14.
Nicer enough to make me happy to carry the extra cab? If only they made a version of the LMIII that were 2ohm capable! I'm thinking of getting possibly a Mesa D800 for my birthday which would do the job. But when I had my own test comparing the LMIII, Streamliner 900 and Mesa D800... I really really liked my LMIII best.
Probably not Why not slave another amp off of your MB head?
 15.
8 ohm is usually @ 2/3 of the watts of 4 ohm (e.g. 500w at 4 ohm would be about 350w at 8 ohm). The other benefit of an 8 ohm load is less wear on the amp's components. This is coming from me, who runs a single 4 ohm cab. The other thing to take into account, the amp probably won't be turned up full tilt, so the 2 cabs would give a fuller sound.
+1dB then It will sound nicer..
 16. Doubling the number of speakers gives you (all things being equal) +3dB , halving the power gives you -3dB.. So the nett effect is 0 dB..
 17. Less power (assuming your amp makes less power into 8 ohms) into more speakers... I expect it will sound better, but not much louder, if at all..
 18. Thanks, looks like a bargain but I have a target in mind once this goes
 19.
That's a 55-94 rather than a 55-76, as such, much less rare! You'd be better off keeping your eye on this perhaps: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272625668289 Si
I have 55-76s on the brain.. thus the auto complete 🙃
