FX Loop

Try running a cable between the send and return sockets on the amp. If you get sound then the loop is working. Is there a switch to turn the loop on/off ?

    FX Loop
Switch the Send and Return - send goes out of the amp to the first pedal and return goes back in from the last
Did he not say he had switched them around ? Unless he switched all four at the same time?
  4. As you asked him to fit new tuners i suspect you're not that confident doing any work yourself. So you can either take it to someone competent and get him to pay for it, or get a new neck from Poland. How on earth did he do the damage ?
  5. Glockenklang Heart Rock 2 in Swan custom vented rack case. Not being used much as I'm using my Thunderfunk mostly these days and this is too good an amp not to be used.. Seriously powerful (>1000w RMS into 2.7 ohms), great preamp, loads of IO.. Any questions just pm me.. Happy to sell without the flight case for £575.. Pictures here.. 6.
I use EV powered subs they are the lightest ones I can find 700w 45lbs .
The barefaced lf800 is 30lbs..
  7. I think there is a thread on here somewhere about this, I'll see if i can find it..
  8. Why not buy a flightcase or amp sleeve for it? Lot's of cheap secondhand ones on ebay/here etc.. You'll need cage nuts and bolts as well..Looks like a 4U case would be the best fit..
  9.
Having gone 'lightweight' a couple of years or so ago (at least on the cab front) I am forever thinking about hauling the diesel cab back out on gigs. The weight is wonderful but I am convinced that the old stuff just has more sonic presence. While I accept all the arguments about the science, my ears just aren't convinced. By the way, nice to be back. After Bassman Steve was rather more rude to someone that he would like to think he would be, I killed him off and have returned after a lengthy self-imposed exile.
I tend to believe what Bill Fitzmaurice and Alex Claber have to say on the subject.. What you're probably hearing (if anything) is driver breakup and/or tonal "character" in the driver/enclosure.. The voice coil and cone don't know what sort of magnet is installed.. I can sort of buy into the SMPS vs traditional power supply argument for amps (though again I suspect this is partly down to belief) But as always, whatever makes you happy sonically is all good..

  13. Selling my HR2 as not getting much love since I picked up a Thunderfunk TF750. This is a phenomenally powerful amp (in excess of 1000W RMS into 2.7 Ohms) with a great bypassable EQ section, capable of nice drive with two fx loops (one blendable) and comes with a custom made vented Swan flight case. Happy to sell without the case for £575 - will work out how to ship it (probably in a old power amp sleeve) if you take this option.. Pics here https://drive.google...bHc?usp=sharing Happy to ship subject to all the normal stuff..Green control labels peel off - makes it easier to see what is what in a dark venue..
I sold my ABZ5 about two years ago and it took some time until someone bought it. I guess market changes all the time....supply and demand
I think it's a combination of Sheldon putting his prices up, the long wait time for builds and the crap exchange rate of the pound against other currencies at the moment.. My ABZ went to Germany...
  16. Looks designed to stack with one of these... http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/traveler-123/
